Weird Shit Going on

Ever have a clash with someone you first meet and then over time finding yourselves actually getting on/agreeing with one another.

Not sure if it's a mutual respect thing or what, but it's happened a few times with me at LU and at work.

The reverse has happened as well once or twice, but thats mostly due to learning about someone's personality more.

So who started out bitchfighting with a forummer here only to now get on well with them, or find yourselves agreeing with each other?

You call all start first, I'll post mine later, been here for a decade, I got a bit of a list to nut out.

I think I had a fair few run ins with you Mad unit about 6 or 7 years ago. I think I had run ins with most people on here around that time. Now I get along with everyone.

Yes I have. But not on the forums.

Their used to be this kid at school. Never got on with him. Disagreed and had our disputes. Now he's one of my closest friends.

People I thought were friends I kept for a few years then started arguing and disputing with them as they "changed" and I don't even talk to them no more after being their friend for a good 10-15 years.

we squabbled over something and then found common ground in bashing the living f**k out of some dumb f**king prick somewhere and that was it lol.

The older I get the less time I have for people.

I don't have run-ins with people, I just cut off contact with people who shit me.

Family is the most important thing as you get older.

I've had a good run on LU so far, been abused a few times and leave my critisizing of actual LU members instead of club, players league identities etc to the 5(c)uff$ and even then is goo natured banter most of the time. Been here a few years now and haven't had one of those ridiculous arguments that go for 3 thread pages with anyone.

I can only think of 1 off the top of my head. In highschool, there was a guy in the same "group" of friends as me, but we didn't really like each other much at all, since primary and throughout highschool. We ended up being pretty good friends in Year 12. Eventually we grew out of it, it helped that we were the two biggest fans of The Simpsons & Seinfeld and that we made up half the Extension 2 Maths class. His Dad (also our primary school principal for the last few years) died last year which was sad.

A girl got her friends to ask me out for her in Year 7 and when I said no they kept pestering me so I went and hid in the boys' toilets. Then this girl had her guy friends drag me out. I still ended up asking (and taking her) to my Year 12 formal.

There was another girl in my Year 3 class that I couldn't stand, she had all the worst qualities of your average bratty 8 year old girl. Then she moved to the UK with her family and I figured that was the last of it. Until a party 8 years later when I got chatting to this f**king hot chick and then found out it was her! We became friends and I actually asked her out once. Some other douche had already claimed her when I got the courage to ask her, but :(

I don't mind cliffo now myself. Had a softening up period, fully instigated by me cos i'm a merkin, but she's a reasonably good egg.

Probably Raider_69. We bitched and moaned for pages back in the day but now he's one of my favourite posters.

Timmah also deserves a mention. Used to take the piss out of him constantly but now I respect him and all the work he does here, even if he gets a bit anal retentive at times.

I'm sure there are plenty more.
