Gutsy win today albeit against the league's worst defense. Down 0-26 to win 28-26.

You need creativity and lots of moving parts on every play to win in the NRL. Whenever teams are too static during a game they always play at their worst.
Don't forget the refereeing was pretty shithouse
When iasako went out he threw the ball in, his foot was still airborne, had they gave it a proper look since katoa put the ball down for a try, they'd be well ahead, like FFS they look at heaps of non tries all the time, yet couldn't be bothered on that one...
Plus Jennings fmd what a potato effort today

The video ref is from time to time wrong, and it baffles. Saw a few this weekend across all the games.

article link

Written in 2020, has youtube highlights for each game. So that would make the Dolphins comeback the biggest ever in NRL history? The largest in that article is 24.

Dolphins attack was way too lateral rarely playing direct

if that wasn’t a dud side like the titans they wouldn’t have made that comeback

their standard of play has been slipping, especially if they want to make the top 8

Because we're a team of second stringers. So often we struggle on attack. A few more years of recruitment and junior development needed.

But for now....there have been some woeful games from us due to an overly conservative uncreative offense. Example -- vs Broncos and vs Dragons. Injuries to our starting halves at the time a culprit.

But our current halves duo of Nikorima and Katoa, and Marshall-King at DH, has been a bit of a revelation. Been a lot more creative and structured than the first month of games. But still lacking in ad lib play, that's where recruiting highly talented players helps, able to make things happen out of nothing.

First half vs Titans was again timid, static. But a lot more creative and up-tempo in the second half, hence the ability to win. Defense matters so much, but teams who play conservative imo seldom win. You need to be aggressive

Dolphins spine is pretty good, its the outside backs that need bolstering. Brenko Lee is awful, Jennings isn't much better. Issako is rocks and diamonds but more often rocks. Aitken is ok but wouldn't make starting centre on a lot of rosters. They probably need a bit more talent and ball playing ability in the back row too.

FMD Jennings couldve scored 4 tries if he wasn't so inept, tesi nui when fit will cover him, and farnsworth will take brenkos spot next year... isaako has been pretty good this year, break out season infact, and Aitken is solid without being special, he has good defensive reads, and defends well, which should be a staple for any centre, he had a great game yesterday chancing his had a fair bit, and charging for that try..
With the current injuries the backline is fine, when the dolphins are fit theyll be dangerous again, the katoa/niko combo is throwing off teams a bit, they are pretty unpredictable, which is a good thing

Isaako used to be a gun under bennett

seibold ruined his confidence with his stupid game plans
