Ive put a full squad list in the Dolphins thread if you want to see their whole team. By my calculations they have 1 spot left in their 30 man squad and 2 spots in their 6 man development places. Additionally they have 6 players on trial and train contracts.

Here's the Dolphins inaugural 30 man squad (2 places still left to fill). Can they do expansion proud? Anything over 12th I'd see a success for a new expansion club.

Appreciating some can play in numerous positions or have utility value.

Aren’t the 4-5 kumuls training with the Dolphins hoping to win a fulltime contract or are they all on development contracts for the 2023 season?

The PNG players are on train and trial contracts. Dolphins have 7 players on those contracts.
They have an additional 4 on development contracts so have room to add 2 out of the T&T pool if they wish.

T&T contracted players

Cody Hunter (halfback Redcliffe Dolphins) #
Setu Tu (winger Redcliffe Dolphins) #
Trai Fuller (Fullback Redcliffe Dolphins) #
Rodrick Tai (Centre PNG Hunters) #
Emmanuel Waine (2nd row PNG Hunters) #
Sherwin Tanabi (2 nd row PNG Hunters) #
Judah Rimbu (halfback PNG Hunters) #

Any indication of eventually expanding the stadium to 20k+?
No. Nor should there be, imo!
Brisbane2 needs to be playing centrally in the best stadium possible. Not in a 20k outer suburban refurb. Only game at Redcliffe should be trials. 12k isnt fit for purpose as a regular NRL stadium, again imo.

Didn’t realise they owned the stadium too

that leaves open one day development around the ground like the sharks

a purpose built 30k ground in redcliffe would be perfect for the club and they could play the other qld teams at Suncorp if required

if they played most of their games at a redeveloped redcliffe that would be better than Suncorp

Good to see another club follow the lead by the mighty forward thinking sharks and who own their own ground. As usual some here can only see the negatives. That bloke from Perth who doesn’t have a club and the donkey bloke who is from Singapore from memory!

Problem with Dolphin stadiums is, like Manly, its on a peninsula and hard to get to for a large chunk of the 500k of moreton bay. Fans don't travel far as a rule. Draw a circle with a 25km radius of Redcliffe and that's the realistic population catchment of Redcliffe stadium. Not to mention convincing the Qlnd Govt to find $200mill plus to build it properly. Then throw in ltd parking and no public transport. How it could cope with regular 20k plus games in a suburban neighbourhood I'm not sure?
