This is a troll right??

Why would it be a troll?

Do you think location isn't a factor for players who are in high demand?

Roosters and Storm have the advantage of being based in two of the best locations in the country. Knights, Raiders and Warriors struggle due to their location. Penrith has struggled over the decades due to it being houso central. Same goes for the Tigers.

A player would rather live in the rich inner suburbs of Brisbane than the working class houso suburbs of Moreton Bay.

If you don't understand any of this then you don't understand people very well.

In the Dolphins' case, a player could live close to family in Logan or Ipswich and still get to training within 30 to 50 minutes if the headquarters are at West End. Can't do that if the club is based in Moreton Bay.

1. Redcliffe and Brisbane Combined wore the same colours.

2. Calling them "Brisbane Dolphins" would be like merging Brisbane Combined with Redcliffe Dolphins.

3. It would have the potential to represent all BRL fans.

4. Basing the club out of West End would make it easier to recruit talent because they would be able to live anywhere in Brisbane and still get to training.

5. Just rip up the branding & history club

Penrith struggles because they can't keep all their players & meet cap. All this is nonsense. I grew up in hills district & around me were players from norths, penrith, parra, tigers. You act like redcliffe is in outback

The peninsula has some affluent parts... sandgate/shorncliffe across the bridge is pretty snobby.

The Storm currently train in Bundoora, and are looking to build a permanent facility in Broadmeadows

Anyone from Melbourne in this thread will know these are not 'rich inner' suburbs.

People from Broadie would consider Inala to be posh.

Putting aside your class snobbery, you're a simpleton if you think the location of a training facility is driver in recruiting and where a player lives

Interesting article in courier today saying Vlandys wouldnt have admitted the dolphins if they didn’t get Wayne as coach. Seems weird deciding factor and not exactly strategic long term planning by nrl in its decision making lol

This article is proof that V'landys belongs on the funny farm with the nutters who worship him.

How many stars have Penrith recruited over the last 40 years?

Only 18km between Melbourne's CBD and Bundoora. There's 33km between Brisbane's CBD and Redcliffe. Not exactly a like for like comparison, is it?

If location wasn't a factor then the Warriors and Knights wouldn't get all te discards, would they?

How many stars choose Penrith and Wests?

Not many unless they're paid overs. The big guns will accept less to play for Broncos, Storm and Roosters due to location.

Not even the Titans can lure a big name as the Gold Coast is a regional city.

Wests are at burwood which is a short ride to city. Panthers produce so much talent they don't recruit as much as develop.

Penrith isn't like Logan. Lots of big homes & well paid ppl around the place.

Plenty of big homes and fancy cars in Logan, too. Suburbs like Daisy Hill, Springwood and Shailer Park have more than their fair share of mansions. On the eastern side of the motorway it's quite affluent. On the western side it's full of housing commissions. The rural suburbs are bloody nice.
