'Terribly wrong' is strange framing, but the Dolphins weren't even close to the best possible outcome, and time will prove that even if people like you will probably never admit it.

The potential was there in Brisbane to create an instant success perennial powerhouse, whom forced the standards of the whole league up. Unfortunately the only way that the Dolphins don't end up as a lower to middling side within the next decade, give or take, is if success on the pitch papers over the cracks.

People were celebrating the Titans, Steelers, Giants, etc, etc, as massive successes on their opening weekends as well BTW...
The Dolphins are the biggest club in QLD arguably even including the Broncos. The NRL wanted a powerhouse and they got one. The Dolphins are a financial giant, a Rugby League giant (have enjoyed lots of success) and produce a shit load of juniors. I've got to ask you, what else did you want from them? Is it because they aren't a copy paste of the Broncos?

That’s a big, and early call lol. Titans looked awesome for first three years before it went, and has stayed, to sht. The pokies will keep them Viable but there’s a lot more than that to being a big club.

What will the club be called in 2032?

Surely they won't be "The Dolphins" by that stage.

Where will they be playing games?

Playing out of several stadia hasn't done the Dragons, Tigers or Bulldogs grow their fanbases.

Would’ve thought you would understand the concept of promoting a very successful side from below the top level

sorry I made the assumption
Doesn’t mean it translates to anything. To say dolphins are biggest sports club in queensland after one game is a big call lol

T

there you go shifting the goal posts again when your wrong
Eh? Colombia made the claim. I’m saying it’s not true now and may never be, or it may become so. Time will tell. if I was betting man I’d bet they’ll never be as big as the broncos.

Here’s what you said

the response was they already are a big club before they even came into the nrl

But they weren’t. 500 crowds and nearly all revenue coming from non football operations doesn’t scream ‘big club’ does it?

anyway good luck to them today, the more wins the better for nrl expansion.

Small crowds at Queensland Cup level doesn't mean these clubs have few fans. People in Australia just aren't into the habit of supporting clubs that aren't in the top league.

Vlandys really messed up adding these guys
Good win,sht stadium, looked like a second division game. Was there more than 10k turned up?

next game up, storm. 17k in a state of art stadium in a new market, that’s proper expansion

Wtf? It took them almost 25 years to get that stadium and those crowds. Melbourne were regularly averaging less than 10k for years in a shithole stadium.

What are you going to complain about after their next home game when they get 40-45k at Suncorp Stadium?
