Welcome to the comp, Redcliffe.

Dolphins play out of central stadium.
Dolphins point of difference geography.
Why do they play games out of Dolphin Oval if they refuse to call themselves the Redcliffe Dolphins?

Next season they'll play two games out of Dolphin Oval.

If they played all games out of Lang Park then they might gain fans around the Greater Brisbane area by calling themselves the Dolphins.

Dolphins have no geographical nomenclature so how can they have a point of difference? Not to mention both the Dolphins and Broncos are based North of the river!
Dolphins play part time out of a central stadium.
Dolphins are a promoted second tier club, Dockers were not

They are nothing alike from a model for setting up a new club point of view!

If they were copying the Dockers set up then the license would be owned by the QRL, a new club would have been set up with a new geographical specific name and they would be playing fulltime out of Suncorp. Thats how the Dockers were set up.

Ur reaching. Fact they both focusing on specific area is main point. Perth will get NRL team before u admit ur wrong tho..

No, Fremantle kept geographically specific name. If dolphins kept redcliffe you'd be using that as negative.

Fremantle was merger between two football clubs in area. Dolphins only pro club in area. Both entities playing at city's biggest & central stadium outside of area they look to target. Dolphins have option of having some games north & let's face it Morton bay is 10 times bigger than Fremantle..
That’s some great points

it’s as clear as day the two clubs were set up in very different models, you’re the one reaching, they quite literally have nothing in common in the way they were set up!

dolphins are not focussing on A specific area, quite the opposite hence the name and three ”home” venues.

Texas has population of 30 million but only 2 NFL & mlb teams, 3 NBA teams & a single ice hockey club. You don't know what ur talking about
How is that relevant exactly?

Did you not understand what I said, or are you just being deliberately thick again?

I reckon the Dolphins and Port Adelaide are more alike. Both promoted from a second tier comp. Entered as "Port Power" to try to capture all of Adelaide, given the parochialism of Port Adelaide Magpies, much like Redcliffe Dokphins. Both also, the second tier comp club created a new business license specifically for the NRL/AFL, so theyre not strictly the exact same club. Why both clubs still field teams in the SANFL/Q-Cup. And i reckon the same thing will happen to the Dolphins as did Port Power.....no identity, alienated locals, dislike of the jersey, eventually there was a rebranding to PAFC, with both the Magpies and Power merging into one business. So the Dolphins will end up being called Redcliffe again, with the heritage jersey the main home, and both Dolphins entities consolidating.

Port Adelaide is small inner city suburb in thr smallest of the 5 main captials. Just Morton bay has population of 500k not including parts of Brisbane city & sunshine coast. Complete lack of knowledge of demographics at play

Port avg 30-44k crowds And nearly 60k members. Will the dolphins match this given your claim of a much bigger population reach?

If they start selling memberships to pets like power do
Ah the old souths chestnut. yeh must be true because you said so?

surely with a much bigger population dogs and cats won’t be needed to match port? Or it could be that the population reach is largely irrelevant and interest in following a club is far more important?

Haha, you want to go there after the two tv deals that have been signed??

you are the one suggesting ports geographical reach is inferior to dolphins, I presumed you were suggesting this would make dolphins more popular? If not why did you mention it? I’m merely pointing out the bar for the dolphins to be more popular than port. Let’s see shall we how they go in their first few years.

Ur using antiquated metrics. Anybody with a brain knows which adds more value to respective leagues
