I have no doubt next year is an up year for us, having said that we are currently coming last.

I saw a list go around late last week that had four forwards names in it and for depth purposes, I would have rather we signed those guys.

It's hard but I'm thinking Cleary may play Reynolds in the 9.

LoLo is given the chance to see out the season in 6 to see what he's got playmaking wise

Only way I can see LoLo fitting in the 17 now because Watson is definitely a better fullback option

1. Watson
6. Lolohea
7. Brooks
9. Reynolds

Reynolds came into grade as a 9, that's his best position. He's a manufactured 6. Problem is his shoulder is apparently too jacked to stand up to the rigours of defending at 9.

Why resign Mcllwrick (just now) if you want Reynolds as hooker with Liddle as back up then, it doesn't make sense.

For me, the logic suggests:

1.Watson 6. Reynolds 7. Brooks 9. McIlwrick

With Reynolds to keep an eye on Brooks, the halves are our weakest area.

I agree mate, but then LoLo signing now seems like a complete waste also

I wanna see how Lolahea goes at fullback before I make my judgement on him. I'm so glad we have options when there are injuries. No one's spots are safe. Brooks, Suli even noufaluma these 3 seem to be in everyones team next year but I think they need to pick up form. I hope they get flogged in the off season really need a fitter side as well as skill.

I can't even think how team will line up. So many combos

1.Watson 6. Reynolds 7. Brooks 9. Mckillrick

1. Lolahea 6 . Reynolds 7 . Gamble 9. Liddle

1. Lolahea 6 . Reynolds 7. Watson 9. Mckillrick

So many options for spine and outside backs.
Totally agree that no one's position should b safe as this is an important pre-requisite for the success we r crying out for & which is long overdue @ this club.

I'm a massive fan of Nofa but I'm fed up to the back teeth with his total lack of common sense re his moronic positioning in defence out wide.No surprise that there's been a slide in his form since he re-signed.

Where is that figure coming from though? The figure reported yesterday was $500k.

Suggested on the big sports breakfast.

If memory serves me correct, play 5/8 at SG Ball level and looks a natural 5/8.

But I don't rate Lolohea, so we need a fullback - I would try to get Gordon for a year or two.

Anyone thinking that we are being a bit short-term with this?

Perhaps Watson has been promised to cover Reynolds when he's contract is up?

How long did Reynolds sign with us? 3 yrs or 4?

Because we had four hookers a couple of years back and none were fit at one point.

There seem to have been a lot of promises made lately to players. Tui was promised fullback and now it seems Watson has also been promised fullback....if he really has signed with us. Someone will obviously miss out.

If I was Brooks I'd actually be a bit worried. Watson if he does come to the Tigers could be 5/8 (his preferred position) with Tui at fullback and Reynolds playing half.

The Reynolds signing to me is more of an issue. I can honestly see him being pushed out of first grade at some point within those 4 years.

All of these promises are bullshit. The best players should get picked if the coach wants to win games and keep his job.

We need depth and competition for sports more than any other club based on our culture of playing guys who aren't first grade ready and hoping they get it together.

I reckon we could well see Grub at hooker.

Watson is no guarantee to be in the starting 13 though. We may utilise him as utility to start off with similar to how the Dogs use Frawley.

Watson at 14, bring him on at pivot, Reynolds to #9.

Watson fb for me. Lolo bench utility and cover for injuries in the halves. Reynolds will not be anywhere but 5/8, his hooking days are over. But saying that it could be reversed, lolo fb and watson utility. Suppose it comes down to ticker, and who owns the spot
