And I agree with spide.

It's excellent advice to embrace the stat.

Especially the ones above.

My point was that the NSW Front Row was dominated (AGAIN). I think everyone agrees that the back row and bench performed well. And to continue the trend if the front row is removed from both teams then the comparison is even more in NSW favour.. (QLD 347, NSW 667)

The point is.. If the NSW front row had more grunt and made the metres they SHOULD then the back row would be free to run a little wider, decoys in the back line etc.. ala QLD!

Loss = Farkin Shyte front row..

But hey 95% of statistics are made up on the spot. :)

Bird made an decisive impact ... better than most of the useless NSW soft c**k forwards.

Serves themselves right for not picking Gallen.

Get some decent Props also.

That is all.

noddy was farged

no distance all his kicks straight to the fullback or out on the full...no repeat sets

he should watch dykes kicking game against a 12 man st george to see how it is done

thurston set up 100's of tries...why couldnt noddy...

hindmarsh is a great player and so is mason...but f**k me they were caught out at marker

well I am gonna say this

Best from Noddy for yonks ( probably my pep talk at OKI on Monday that did it) but ....

He just doesn't have that little bit of genius about him.
His kicks were good ...but no results points wise.
He defence was sensational ...Karmichael Hunt would not of had a fun night.
Thurston again played worse but outplayed him when it mattered...the fugger.

The QLD defence was awesome but as everyone else have said ...our backs were boring and had no idea...that could be due to QLD's defence though..but I doubt it.

I reckon this.

Keep Stewart
keep Hayne
Hello Grothe...
keep King but at centre....he has proved in the past he can play well for the blues.
See ya Cooper ..too busy looking at himself on the big screen.
Hello Pom....big call ...but he can score trys these days.
see ya Lyons...myth busted
See ya Anasta ...although a busted hand and I think he is better than people suggest.
Hello who at 6 ?????
Look at who is available.......nobody.
hello Dykes ......
Hello shrek
see ya white
keep Bailey
Keep Mason
see ya buderus
Hello Farah
hello Payten....is he even an Aussie or NSWelshman?
see ya Ryan
Hello beaver...although he may have retired from SOO
Keep hindmarsh...although he was very average for him.
Hello Gall
Hello again Bird with more game time...he was wasted

wait for it

keep Noddy....he deserves to keep his spot .

a couple others that could be benchies
Luke Burt or even put him on Haynes wing .
Watmough
wing
Fitzgibbon

i am skeptical carc, that the nsw selectors will see the value in selecting dykes

although his game against the 12 man st george last week were he set up all those tries and got such distance with an immaculate kicking game could snag it for him

oh and i read in another thread his defence was really good too....

FMFF i turned fluffy last night

that was Noddy's best game since his Storm days

his kicks found grass. sometimes behind the fullback!

lacked creativity in the opp 20m but hey the centres were sh*t. oh and crapasta didn't even run on the field. well that's what i thought at half time anyway

if noddy kicks the same and creates some trys against the Warriors, i think the anti-Noddites might even give him a 5 out of 10

I don't know why people are crowing about Noddy's creativity here. Anasta dig fuggen NOTHING at all. Thurston had a few good kicks but was quite will ball in hand. Same with Lockyer.

He was the best of all halves on the field, and the decisive factor in this one is the fact that the entire NSW front row (bar, to an extent, Bailey), failed to dominate Price and Petero.

The game was lost by our props and centres.

Agreed - a 5/8 would have been nice.

His kicking inside the 20m was for mine the biggest improvement, well weighted kicks, REPEAT SETS for the first time in a while.

His running game inside the 20m was what was lacking, he never chose good option with his runners. I would have like a bit more decoy running too...

I dunno if that's Noddy's fault of Muzza's fault. You'd hope that, at the Sharks with a preseason and training every week under his belt he'd know where the runners would be in our club games.

Play like that every week for us Noddy, and I'll have a couple of eggs on my face. That performance had his customary 100% effort along with some quality touches. Usually it is just the former. Come on Noddy!

Noddy had a great game.

The only reason he was lacking creativity because no one was running angles or decoys.

also the point about NSW making more total metres, i'd be more interested to see the average metres per hit up. might tell a different story.

I'm an anti-Noddite and I'd give him an 8 out of ten based on last night's game. I think he produced just about the best possible game considering the geniuss that were playing around him. The only criticis is he didn't take much responsibility on the third and fourth tackles. It's damn near impossible to lay on tries in the oppositions 20 when

The 5/8 is non-existent

The Backrowers don't run lines, and on the rare occasion they do, they spill the pill

The ref lets the Morons lie all over the play the ball

The centres are embarrasing all that call NSW their State of Origin.

If he plays like that for the sharks, with a good kicking game that allows us to get field position, he can lay on tries because:

We have a 5/8 that isn't totally useless

We have the best backrow in the NRL and they know how to score tries

Shayne Hayne will be in a tanning salon

Our centres aren't fat little sooks.

I'll be at Shark Park on Saturday night ready to watch the resurgence of Noddy! Carn the Sharks!!
