We should not get caught in a bidding war for the nrl melbourne stars.

Much better to look at melbourne's toyota cup premiers team from last year and see if we can nab a few of their of young players at good value and sign them up to long term deals. melbourne will be so busy trying to fit their nrl stars under the cap, they will not be able to hold onto all of their young talented kids.


an example of the talent that is coming through - canberra won the title in 08, their team included josh dugan and shaun fensom who are now establishing themselves in the nrl. matt duffie was in melbournes team last year and has just broken into the nrl - and they are only going to get better and more expensive in the coming years if we don't go after them now.

Well, Pricey did ring a sydney radio station during the week and said that we needed a 6...he suggested that Hayne was wasted at fullback and that Hayne should be playing 6. This was after asking the panel if the NRL and the ARL are the same or seperate organisations :shock:

300K increase is drawing the bow a bit far. he'd already held the club to ransom for his previous signing, so you'd probably be looking at more like 100K increase for Jarryd.

Glad I read this post, as the were (and not we're) was annoying the hell out of me......

PS - if Penrith want to have 2 of the best Centres in the game in their side (Inglis/Jennings) good luck to them - will be the most entertaining side NOT to make the finals :lol:
