Deary me but LOL.

What cheese says makes perfect sense.

Snowden has been found out at rep levels . Compare him to Matt scott and petro and seen as thow snowden will be on MORE money ( and dont give me the Bennet wont pay over $300 k rubbish as I know for a fact he will be on more then that ) .

I have no doubt that Gal could and probably will be a better prop then snowden even gus has stated in the past he is NSW best front rower.

Then we move on to the juniors coming through which have shown alot of promise just as snowden did but the knights didnt put the time and effort into him orginaly which tunred him into a fat overweight nuffie who could barely play 20 minutes of FG. So if the club puts the same time and effort into the juniors why cant we turn someone into a similar player of snowden?

Which is why cheese used the word potential.

After watching slowden without rose coloured glasses the last few weeks I reckon we dodged a bullet with the 400+ we were offering the dog karrrnt

If Gall moves up front & Tyson keeps progressing, potentially thats a better pack than what we have now.

So in other words Tyson Frizzell a wide running backrower with no 1st grade experience is better than Douglas and Snowden combined????

Jeez you're a dopey karnnt

With Gal moving to prop, we have a great back row replacement in Friz if he can make the step.

As for dougy & slowy ...meh ...we're at the bottom of the table, and have been for years. The obese pebble collector has paid overs, and it hurts you.

Dont you understand what he said?

IF gal moves to Prop and the young backrowers progress they could then fill Gals role in the back row which would minimise the loss of snowden. But then we have to fill the void of douglas as well.

Didnt see chesses last post.

Gallen to prop has some real advantages.
1. He will make 120+ metres a game every week
2. It simplifies his role to allow the halves to run the team

Frizzell has talent. Whether that translates to NRL success remains to be seen but he is athletic and strong and could be a damaging edge backrower.

Of course we need another prop or two to cover for the losses but the empahsis needs to be on the effectiveness of the pack not the size of the names and pay packets.

For too long we have thrown big coin at props and it hasn't done much for us. Stevens was a legitimate big money prop. When he retired we threw his money at Ross who wasn't at the same level and unfortunately got injured a lot. We then offered Snowden and Douglas big money and yet we are the bottom of the table.

The big money is better spent on the players who can make a difference to the team.

The thing I like about Friz is he runs different lines to any of our other backrowers.

He runs outside in, & has the ability to straighten on a dime, whereas all our other blokes just choke the sideline. He might not make it in the NRL (i'd be surprised if he didnt), but he's definitely more than you're usual 'toiler' type player.

I'm sad we've lost Dougy ...but let's be 100% honest with ourselves ...a lot of the love comes from his incredible durability & his perceived "juniourness" ....if you squint your eyes so you can't read the number on his back, he doesn't offer a whole lot more than someone like cordoba apart from a big fuel tank.

The only concern I have with Gallen at prop is that he will have to be subbed off.

I'm not sure how much differently he'll play, but with no Snowden or Douglas helping with the load i'm certain even Gallen will need a spell. Our team without Gallen= zero go forward.

Cheese talks sense.

Although Dougie has been a great club man to a point (a very defined point). Ive never understood the hype around him.

Hurts me? How would it hurt me when there's no source stating what Snowden is on and after watching Tolar and Kaufusi trundle around for 2 years pretending to be 1st grade front rowers Snowden will look like an immortal compared to those 2.
As for putting 8 instead of 13 on Gallen's back, well sure that move will allow another backrower in the team but that only goes halfway to replacing Snowden and Douglas. Snowden and Douglas regularly churn out over 250m between them, Taufua is a 50m a game lock/prop at best, so guess Frizzell has got a big task on his hands....

Taufua kind of strikes me as the new Broderick Wright... Hopefully we are still looking for two more props regardless of if we push Gallen up or not.

We have to many backrowers on our books. Gallen, Smith, Bukuya, Tupou, Peachey, Frizzell, Taufua and if we want a halves combo of Townsend/Kelly one would assume you have to add Graham to the backrow. We need legit props!

The only issue I have with Gal at prop is it's more difficult to bend the line on tackles 1 & 2 (esp 1). Gal doesn't have great size and may not get his leg drive happening against a more set line. I don't want to see the great man running back the kickoffs in particular.

Forget about bending the line, Gal bends time and space my friend.
