and why should one of the most talented, wealthy and professional club's in the comp be waiting for (a) someone to be kicked out of the top 8 for a salary cap breach (Bulldogs in 2002) (b) relying on a winning margin of 28 points against the Minor Premiers in the last round of the year (against Penrith 2003) or (c) relying on slim mathematical situations and other results two weeks out from the end of the year and just plain farcical mathematical situations and earthquakes and tidal waves to knock over other teams (us in 2004)......just to make the finals????
