HI MANLY - ITES

I am the webmaster for a RL website Era of the Biff,
http://www.geocities.com/bringbackthebiffrugbyleague
which records memories from that Era when Biff was part and parcel of RL. Also I wish to record "punters" memories of that era. Before it is all forgotten.

Were you at the SCG in 1972 when your Sea Eagles won their first ever Title. I'd love to hear your stories, in your own words. I am not chasing a literary masterpiece. What was it like when you went back to the club.

Were you at the 73 GF, the most brutal of them all (and I loved it even though you beat my beloved sharks Bloody bob fulton) I'd love to hear your stories on that great day.

All entries are acknowledged...

Cheers
Quigs

Quigs, as I said in the other thread, you will get a few responses here but if you want a lot more post this in www.mightyeagles.com where the bulk of our supporters post and I'm sure you'll get a great response!
As for 72,73....1972 I don't really remember it as I was just out of nappies but I do remember 1973 as I was over my Pa's house (who was a Bulldogs supporter) watching the game and although I didn't understand much about what was going on....I do remember cheering when Manly won and my pa giving me a bah humbug response  Little did he know I'd stick with Manly all these years but he always respected my decision! :D

Gotcha Chileman,

I am presently awaiting confirmation of registration into the Manly site (psssts don't tell anyof me shark mates....it is like selling my soul to the devil. But in the interest of old rugby league I will make a sacrifice.)

Chileman I am now entering my 37th year of following the sharks. so one could say Ive lead with my head, but I was born and raised there and I worship the Blue Black and white. Especially when little Tommy was wacking Freddy Jones about the head. (Calm down Quigs, it is only a typed message) Bloody Bob Fulton .......Your Grandfather was right.

Hey thanks mate.

If your old Grandad is still healthy ask him about his favorite memories and let me know...I'd love to hear and record them.

cheers
Quigs.

Gidday Chileman.

Sorry to hear about your old grandad. But anyone that was going for the sharks in 73 must of been alright.

Signed up under Quigs, but I had some trouble - I will retry again. I think it worked but I am a sticker for the conspiracy theories you know. ( I told em Prince Charles did it, and the Butler did it )

A bloody Manly supporter at Heathcote..... what is the world coming to.
I actually lived in Bottleforest Road Heathcote for about 1 year. That was 27 years ago. On the National Park side of the line. Guess it has all changed now.

I will try and post in the Manly site tonight or tomorrow hopefully. Right now I have an appointment with a schooner at the Emu Park Golf Club.
One there has my name on him., ---- It was 36 celcius up here today and I am bloody hot.

see http://www.geocities.com/emuparkgolfclub I will be drinking with Ivan.

Hey does your golf club have a crocodile ?????

Cheers Quigs.
