 the hammers and raiders are building to some good times for me im thinking :D

Tough game against Liverpool coming up, they are a bloody good side when they fire, thankfully their form sucks balls at the moment... Prediction: Hammers 2-1

90th minute penalty for a 1-0 victory over liverpool
not the most convincing win but we'll take it :D

Should have been more convincing to be honest. You guys were all over us. Although having the referee on your side helps... eg Lucas Neill's hand-ball, Lucas Neill all over Torres and Torres gets the yellow for being annoyed...

Serves Torres right. Whining bitch.

You should have won by at least 3. Boa Morte was shocking...well his finishing was anyway.

I didnt see the match but i did read that Boa Morte had 3-4 clear chances and completely f**king rooted the shots.

Wow...

The 4-5-1 formation won the day against Manure and worked a treat again yesterday. Liverpool's midfield had nothing.

Freddie was all over them, practically everytime he got around them they hacked him down, quite amusing to see them do it in the last minute in their own in goal.

Our defense was pretty much spot on getting in their faces and physically beating them all over the place. Upson was fantastic, Ferdinand was also good, McCartney was his usual self in both defense and attack and will really challenge Green and Upson for Hammers player of the year..

Ref was sh*te though, despite Skeeps cry the ref got things wrong on both sides, fortunately a mistake did not decide the game.

Other results went our way and with a game in hand on most we are slowly but surely getting into a great position for a spot in the UEFA cup...

Cmon you Irons !!!

I note Robert Green still can't make the England squad...

I hope they crash and burn again....

Although I said I felt we could make the UEFA Cup this year if we played to our potential, I never really expected it to happen. Good to see us continuing to stick with the pack, and hopefully a late charge will see us in a good position to challenge Europe :)

I am enjoying the newbies optimism.. If supporting West Ham for all this time has taught me anything it's not to jump to such conclusions.. It is highly likely that after beating the Scousers we will go out and lose to Wigan this week...

Last year we did the double over Manure and Arsenal but lost twice in the EPL to Watford and i am pretty sure they also knocked us out of the FA Cup..

I hope you two are right though...

 Come on Mong, get on board, the reason i choose West Ham was because they are a good side on the improve, not in top draw yet but with some astute purchasing, and some quality coaching, we can get there

i think Europe is extremely unlikely for this season, we'd need to have some almight charge home and count on some good results to favour us, but stranger things have happened ;-)

Im an optimistic sort of dude

I had the pleasure (?) of supporting Newcastle through their two worst ever seasons, and I never lost hope that there'd be a light at the end of the tunnel. If anything, enduring those poor seasons only made me care about the team more - and I think the same will hold true for West Ham. I came in last year when relegation seemed a likely outcome and got to see them pull clear of it - so it's been good to see them toppling sides like Manure and Liverpool this year.

Maybe Europe is an idle ambition right now, but I like to think it's a possibility down the track. In between the academy and bringing in guys from further afield, I think we're a side on the rise.

he is a nutter but that video shows everyone how it should be done. roy carroll should of taken note

Ahh Paolo.. Behind Sir Trev he is my favourite ever Hammer.. I remember watching the game in your link, the crowd gave him a standing ovation after that happened, prior to that they would Boo every time he touched the ball due to his previous "incident" with the Ref earlier on in his career..

My favourite Di Cannio moment http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=lSRlcUPslR4

Beating Man U is just to easy for West Ham

Away to Wigan tonight.. Hopefully Bellamy Parker and Solano are all passed fit to play although Bellamy will probably struggle a fiar bit for match fitness.

Can't see us playing a 4-5-1 against wigan so if Ashton and Bellamy are fit there poses an interesting selection battle up front.

Cole has come into his own, Ashton is struggling and from all reports maybe unhappy at the club at the moment.

I'd start with Cole and Ashton or Cole and Bellamy and sub Ashton and Bellamy at some stage to give them both a run and some more match fitness.

Defenders will remain the same, Upson and Ferdinand are going great in the centre, McCartney has been great.. Jury is still out on Neil though.

Midfield will be interesting if they are all fit.. Etherington, Bowyer, Freddie, Solano, Noble, Faubert, Boa Morte, Mullins all pushing for probably 4 spots..

Congrats to Upson for making the England squad.. How they think Kirkland is a better keeper then Green is beyond me and shows the new manager is no better then the last gumby. I couldn't care less about England but i feel bad for Green, unsure what else he has to do to get picked.

Lets hope for 3 points tonight... Since you never seem to remember Mis, game time is 12:55 QLD time

Cmon your Irons !!

pretty confident about a win tonight, whilst ive learnt over time west ham are abit like the raiders, beautiful one week, sh*thouse the next, if we're fair dinkum, we should knock over Wigan...

My prediction: 2-0
I think they'll give Bellamy one more game out to get right, Parker and Solano will play
