"Mitchell Starc won't take part in any matches but will tour for the experience'

WTF is the point of that? Just put him in the squad FFS

16 man ODI squad? We don't even take that to a World Cup, not to mention the non playing Starc (yeah wtf is with that).

Good to see Bailey and Lyon in there I guess. About time we saw them in the 50 over stuff.

Ok I'll be the first to say it .. I don't like Inverarity being so honest and upfront.

All we wanted was a selector with half a brain who gave us sound reasons for his decisions.

Inverarity takes it too far .. for example: "Though Peter Forrest is in the T20 squad, it is not anticipated he will be in the team and is there as back-up." .. is that necessary? Now the kid thinks he can kick back after the ODI's and tuck into the Coronas. Mitchell Starc may as well not pack his boots.

I think Haddin is very luck to get a gig .. and Starc unlucky. Not unhappy with 15 touring, but 16 is too much.

I am glad Lyon has been picked in both squads. Hopefully he gets some games, he is a more than able limited overs bowler.

The Starc thing is weird. Obviously a few players are picked as back up but to flat out say he won’t get a game is ridiculous.

Don't get why Starc isn't being considered, he killed it in the few games he played in the Big Bash and it can't be a cost thing as he is going anyway.

The Hilditch years were filled with consistently poor decisions.

Now with Inverarity, it appears we're going to get some great decisions mixed with some first class space cadet decisions.

The Windies wickets have been taking a lot of turn lately. With Watson fit I wouldn't mind taking two specialist spinners into the test series.

How's Doherty keep getting a start over Lyon?

Doherty has been excellent in both forms of the shorter game. Seems Brad Scissorhands snuck back in the side. It's a big squad for a fairly minor part of the tour.

Nor do I.

Transparency is one thing, but he just put all of our cards face up on the table.
