Are the West Tigers going to benefit from the Bud move to Souths.
The only thing I can fathom is sal cap relief for 1 year.
As far as Bud benefiting...I'm unsure.
He will be sitting behind new signings Lewis Dodds and Jamie Humphreys, who are likely contenders for the No. 7 jersey.
If he can jag a spot then ol man Bennett may be able to build his game then if he dies come back to us he might be a better player which is great for us.

My view of it is apart from the 1 year cap relief we're better off with him playing at least more first grade somewhere else which increases his visibility and chances of being picked up for '26 and beyond

If Bennett can get him going, then he will stay at south’s or another club will take him on, imo.
But our benefit is, obviously we have room for anther signsing.
I don’t think sully will be back.

I hope this is just a media beat up. While I am a Balmain boy, I am a West Tigers fan now.
Just when we start getting our shit back together, someone wants this crap to derail us.

personally spoke to someone at Balmain yesterday, nothing happens without him knowing, it’s complete and utter BS

It has to be. The club is closer than it's ever been to becoming a true merger. Hopefully Rick and Tony will be successful in paying out the $100 owed to each debenture holder. Then there will be no debenture holders and Wests Tigers fans can pay $13 once every five years to be a HBG member and have an equal saying in the running of the club.

All a bit silly.

I haven’t met any fans who think either club is better off on its own.

It all gets down to the people who are managing and working with us.

Weve had a few excellent outcomes on paper, post season mainly, but we have a long way to go to take our rightful place.

I think we need a more democratic ground up structure, HB sacked the board, but still too many snouts for mine.

Chris did a good job given our challenges and I wish him the best.

I don’t think Benji is the right coach, but he could be used in other ways. It’s all or nothing for him this season.

Richo, I give him an 7.3 out of 10. He’s still got a lot of work to do. He really doesn’t need these health problems. I am sympathetic.

I don't think that will ever happen while WA or HBG however you want to call them own the WT's, why would they give up having some seats at the table, no one would?
The last review for the WT's board, chopped some people, the WA club will still have basically 3 board members (inc the chairman), one Wests, one Tigers and two independents that will be coming within the month, according to the pod cast that Nutz presented.
They said, they are committed to the WT's, they have shown that with financial backing, they don't seem to be interfering in the running of the WT's, so TBH, I don't see too many problems.

We've just had 3 spoons in a row, like the playing group, management needs to change as well.

Well it’s an urgent presentation because they obviously felt the rumour and innuendo was gaining traction.

It was reported last year that Richo was less than impressed with the delays going on, but he can’t exactly throw the powers that be under the bus lol.

I would have been happy if the board had intervened on a few things tbh.

I think what they may be referring to as 4 independents are, the Balmain, Wests and 2 independents (TBA).
They don't say who the core directors are, but earlier (in the last review), they wanted 7 directors, The Chair was appointed by WA, so not sure if he's indepenent or is WA employed? Plus 2 indepenents.
They've just sacked the HBG board member and I thought they were wanting to bring in 2 HBG guys?
Last year they had 5 but needed to have 7.

1 x Chair
1 x Balmain
1 x Wests
2 x HBG
2 x independents

Anyway, that's my understanding.
