I think Richo has been terrific for us, but he has f**ked up on ground allocations, since he's got here.
Playing a home game against Parra at their home ground is crazy.
Not playing at least an equal share of home games at LO is crazy, every player who's ever been interviewed has said how the crowd lifts them when they play there.
15,000 crowd in a small stadium, looks far better then 20,000 in an 60,00 seat stadium.
I know the money is important, but winning is more important and success brings in more money.

TBH, I think all our new signings have been great.
I think Hunt has been ordinary, the effort against the sharks needs to be his absolute baseline, he needs to improve on that every week, he has been underwhelming in all other games. This impact player rubbish needs to be driven from his brain and he needs to put in consistently, he is the type of player that can wrestle dominance from big forward packs that we have struggled against in the past, he needs to get fit, use his size and get in the grind every week.

Totally agree with this.
He'll be an impact player naturally.
He needs to lose 5kg around his gut as he's still too unfit for the NRL's fast pace.
If he does that, he'll be a weapon, because he'll be quicker and more agile. He will still be a force 5kg lighter.

I basically agree. He has been ordinary. I think he was great against the Sharks though and I think he was an impact player in that game. I don't expect him to be that good every week but that should be the goal.

That impact player role is important for us. It can turn games.

TBH, I didn't know he was away and it's a fairly legitament reason.

They're puting it out there that this was something Richo decided to do a few days ago.....my radical left field theory is that his niece's wedding date was locked in many months ago ...most likely before the season kicked off.. Richo booked his 2 weeks off and his family probably made their travel arrangements at that time.. the Galvin thing has been dealt with for now so where's the " engulfing the club" part? And these ambulance chasers wonder why they don't get any respect.

And doing what Richo does is how we get the money to afford success in the first place. Also it's not just up to Richo, our idiot board and the council, are also Involved.

WESTS TIGERS

2025 recruits
: Jarome Luai (Panthers), Sunia Turuva (Panthers), Jeral Skelton (Bulldogs), Royce Hunt (Sharks), Jack Bird (Dragons), Terrell May (Roosters)

Analysis: After winning three consecutive wooden spoons in 2022, 2023 and 2024, Benji Marshall’s Tigers have reaped the benefits of a very strong recruitment drive in 2025. After nine rounds, the Tigers are back in the top eight, with five wins and four losses, and still a full three byes up their sleeve. Skipper Luai has been a huge addition for the Tigers, coming off four straight premiership wins with the Panthers. Turuva’s try scoring potency has helped the Tigers immensely. Turuva is the second top try scorer in the competition, with nine tries from nine games. The Tigers had the worst attack in the competition last season, where as this season they have the eighth best attack. May has been huge for the Tigers up front this season, while Hunt and Bird are playing their part off the bench. The Tigers lead the NRL for offloads this season with 106, with May, Hunt and Bird all playing a role in that. Skelton has played just the four games this season, and is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Grade: A+

Our improvement this year is due to the inclusion of two players in particular, May and Luai.
May has kept us on the front foot and allowed our backs to do their part.
We need to improve our D and combos. If we do these things, we will make the play-offs.
We also have to make the team Luai's. I love Api as he commands respect through his actions but Luai should have the voice. In the NRL era the fullback needs to be vocal running the D from the back and the halves run the plays. We need to let Luai run our side otherwise he's not fulfilling the reason he came here for.
We don't want him to take up his options and leave... we need to extend his contract when it's time to do so and for him to want to be here.
