How is it good that the Liverpool Macarthur region doesn't have its own fulltime NRL team??? Wests Tigers is basically an inner west club who "travel" to Campbelltown a few times a year. The south west should have its own team! It would include Liverpool all the way down south including the southern highlands. It would also include the area around the future second airport.

Maybe Wests Tigers should remain as an inner west club, and Macarthur Liverpool Magpies can come into the NRL, so the Macarthur Liverpool area is looked after properly, and they can defend the area against the AFL and A League!

The appeal of players living in concord may have something to do with the base being there. Professional athletes probably don't wanna live in the south/west area (which could be entirely untrue) but just a guess

Why is it the Tigers are so scared of players having to live near Campbeltown, Penrith seem to manage just fine. Basically telling the west that they think they're too good for the area.
Despite this, their current recruitment strategy clearly isn't working. Roster full of plodders and their best players just jumped ship.

Being based at Campbelltown doesn't require a player to live in Campbelltown. Plenty of areas out there for cashed up players to buy acreage, nice new and existing developments available. If the players weren't fussed on driving they could easily buy up in the Southern Highlands if they wanted to.
