It is staggering really. What the NRL would look like if it had the AFL's leadership and followed the same path

1 Team in WA
1 Team in SA
1 Team in Vic
9 Teams in NSW
4 Teams in Qland
1 Team in ACT
1 Team in NZ
1 club playing 3-4 games in Tassie
1 club playing 3-4 games in NT

The occasional game in China and Sth Africa lol

The fact afl has 2 teams in qld/nsw meanwhile nrl has none in wa/sa show how far behind nrl is with expansion. For afl to have the same number of team in Brisbane sums up the expansion mindset. To think 2 afl teams in non heartland sydney and only 1 nrl team in Brisbane heartland sums it up.

The fact that afl has only 2 teams in the most populated state in the country sums it up you mean.

I saw thousands of them at the gf. You mustn't have watched the game. Then again, you're not really a rugby league fan are you?

Thousands?
Bullshit

I saw 3 on the train in
But ey ...I also a raiders fan too.

I saw at least 70 thousand sharks fans

Melbourne should consider taking 2-3 home games to Tasmania a year

Yet in the regular season post premiers still thousands of empty seats at shark park, you think after 50 years of fail they sell it out regular now 'heartland' gotta heartland. Cue the excuses.

More bullshit
Most seats at Shark park are sold out prior to the season starting.

Ha
Hmm
Great decision
They sucked.

They had a very promising first season and probably could've built on it if it wasn't for Super League. They won 11 of 22 games in 1995, only missed the finals by 2 points and attracted over 15k at the WACA. They attracted some good players and had a junior base there to work with.

They could have just *not* jumped to SL.

But anyway, irrelevant. f**k ups from 20 years ago are no reason to not do something now. Learn from it and try again.

NRL should be at 20 teams by 2030.
Perth
SeQLD-3
Adelaide
NZ-2

Is there any kind of Rugby League base in South Australia? I live in Brisbane and Brisbane can sustain 2 teams and the 2nd team would get a better chance to be successful as Super League erupted straight after the Crushers first game. I think having the Warriors representing New Zealand is good enough.

Think of an nrl with wa/sa and 2nd brisbane it be the most completed national competition covering qld, nsw, act, wa, sa, vic and nz. Damn super league ruined that broad national footprint that would surpass afl and a-league in national coverage. Covering Townsville/newcastle areas that afl will never go to added advantage.
