I've already said that the Sydney City Whatevers was a stupid and ridiculous idea.

you also said that teams names should reflect their geographical reality......Sydney City Roosters makes more sense than the Homebush Rabbitohs.

Neither was the criteria administered by the ARL in 99 the same as 93 nor applied consistently..

The criteria administered in 99 was by the NRL, had nothing to do with the ARL, nothing to do with the criteria put to the clubs in 1993 and NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.

That was Superleague....you'd have to be a moron or a troll and I CBF working out which.

again,,,,,.....no. No it wasnt. It seems I had neglected a third possibility that you are both a moron and a troll.

Well I'm a Magpie through and through and I detest Balmain. The merged abortion does nothing for me.
You should be honoured. Balmain lifted your turd of a club from an average position of last to one nearer mid table. No one gives a f**k about the magpie, wests or Campbelltown. In fact, Wests fans are such turds they could only muster up 8,000 to that Campbelltown shit tip for a tribute for their "greatest ever" modern player. Dissolve the merger and see where wests are because the entire value of the club is in black and orange and the tiger. Wests were an embarrassment for 90 years and are rapidly sending the WT the same way with the utter clowns on the Wests board like that muso with the fried brain who makes Brian Mannix look like he's in MENSA

Magpies are beautiful birds and highly intelligent, but they're not marketable as a mascot for a sports club.

Everyone loves tigers.

Orange and black is a great colour scheme, especially in a hooped design like Balmain wore in 1997.

20 years ago when I went to school the EPL was what 80% of my peers watched and spoke about. My nephews have played every sport except RL.

It's not the 1980s anymore. Walk around the city and observe what people wear. Even at NRL games you'll see adults wearing merchandise of NY Yankees, LA Lakers and other American sporting teams. Rebel sport sell NCAA basketball singlets and has all the major soccer teams from across the world. You're stuck in the 1980s.

Optus Sport has focused on securing broadcast rights for the EPL and other major soccer competitions, and guess what, they have more customers than Kayo.

Well I'm confused.

Apparently no one will follow Chelsea, West Ham, Tottenham and Arsenal because no one knows where they're from.

Tottenham has 280 supporters clubs around the world and none of them would know wtf Tottenham is.

It seems they're stuck in the 1980s.

You btw are stuck in the 1990s Superleague War. You're using the same moronic arguments.

It was tried and people hated it. So while you're trying to win fans (who couldn't give a flying f**k) in Nepal, the Australian viewing public voted with its feet.

The Superleague War was a disaster for rugby league.

The Northern Eagles must've done really well reaching their market in Moldavia.

Wtf does EPL even have to do with NRL? Kids aren't sitting around watching EPL or NBA.

Most of them are on their XBoxes.

Rugby League is a sport played in 3 countries seriously around the world. It is the dominant sport in only 2 states of one country in the world.

You don't see the AFL in hysterics over NFL or NHL

Dude you've already lied about Souths Sponsorship now you're lying about what I've actually written.

I haven't written anything about teams names and their geographical location.

The criteria as administered by the NRL in 1999 was subjectively applied to benefit certain clubs.

It was Superleague which saw the deaths of Norths, Western Suburbs and Balmain.

U drunk bro?
It makes ALOT more sense than Sydney, and then having a South Sydney.
Ultimately they would go to East Sydney but I doubt they will ditch just Sydney, for reasons posted on other pages
