I wish my club didn't have pokies, but while they're competing with clubs who do and are based in a small regional city that has around 150k people, and about 400k in their catchment, spread across an enormous region, they're a necessary evil for the club's survival. Not everyone has a Russell Crowe to keep them afloat.Logan sounds a lot like Balmain.
Dude it's not my fault if your Superleague arguments lay strewn all over the floor.
They were stupid then and they're stupid now.
Now have you protested to the cowboys about the 12 million they rake in in poker machines.
Which is 12 million more than souths.
You know because you care so much about families and equality.
Unless a strict cap is put on football operations then clubs will be reliant on generating revenue, up to $25-30m, just to survive. If things keep going the way they are then regional clubs might be forced out of the game.
Logan has about 326k people and growing rapidly. It's also located between Brisbane and Gold Coast, making it very important region and one that AwFuL has targeted. Its southern suburbs are set to grow by over 100k people over the coming decades.
Growing the game in strategically important areas isn't Super League. It's not the 1980s anymore.
