After turning in some good performances recently and now sitting on the cusp of the 8 How do you think the tigers will fair for the remainder of the 2005 season? I believe they can finish anywhere from 6th-8th and jag an upset or 2 in the finals!! Thoughts?

They are a thrilling team to watch, so I hope they do make the finals. But not at my team's expense.

I think Dragons Tigers and Dogs are safe bets for the eight. Roosters Raiders and Sharks to falter

They'll be determined to make the finals after just missing out last year. I'm sure Tim Sheens comments that the Tigers were never going to be consistent this year was just a ploy to motivate his team.

They're close enough, if they're good enough.

Just on the topic of Wests Tigers, does anyone know where Scott Prince was on the Dally M ladder after they closed it, the way he's playing atm he might go close to getting it.

IMO the dogs and sharkies will pull up just inside the 8, leaving Roosters, Raiders and Tigers to fight it out for 8th spot and that is anyone's guess at this stage

HE was second on 17 0r 18 points behind kennedy on 19 so he has a real shot if he continues his form

Wests Tigers deserve to be in the finals they play good footy and are entertaining. If they can continue to play as they are they will make it. Recently we seem to get a bit of a bolter come this time of year. Parra in 2000, Warriors in 2001, 2003 it was Penrith, Cowboys 2004 maybe this year it's Wests.

He was on 15 points, the leader was on 20.He has scored 5 lots of 3 points.
It would be great for Scotty and the club if he did manage to win,but there is some strong competition with Kennedy,Thurston and Minnichello just to name a few who were up the top of the leader board.

Yeah, before last round it was:

1 - B Kennedy (20)
2 - J Thurston (19)
3 - S Prince (15)
3 - A Watmough (15)

I'm pretty sure we was given the 3 points against Manly, and would most likely have got some today the way the Dally M points are mainly geared towards halves. I think he's playing a mile better than last season, and very happy with his performances.

Tigers are goin really well, one must note this is the same crucial period as last year, where they bombed out.
Me personally, I hope they make the eight and honestly I cant see it any other way.
Sheens is the best thing thats happened to this club!
I enjoy watching them play, except when they play the raiders hahaha but we will have our chance at remuneration!

The Top 2: Broncos and Eels

3rd-8th: Storm, Cowboys, Eagles, Dragons, Wests Tigers, Sharks (barely in 8th)

Not in Finals: Dogs (by one point), Rooster, Raiders, Warriors, Panthers, Rabbitohs, Knights

I think the next few weeks will determine the tigers position .. even Tim Sheens acknowledges this..
They have played some good football but against understrenght teams with origin disrupting preperations..
The tigers have not had any distractions and have leaked alot of points and there attack is great but can cause them to surrender possiesion too easily..its a double edges sword for them...
This part of the year is tradionally where you start to see the movers and shakers.
The verdict is out now on all teams though.

Consistentency is what theyve been missing all year something Sheens has mentioned himself a number of times. They are looking great at the moment though, just a matter of keeping it going

Its funny, with them being such a young side, and with them playing attacking, attractive footy that is high risk error wise....their confidence rubs off on the fans I think.

Yesterday when Fulton threw that stupid pass for Monoghans intercept, I actually surpised myself and instead of giving him a mouthful like I might have if it was a more older experienced player, I was yelling out to him to not worry about it, keep your chin up etc, like all his team mates would have been doing in the ingoal.

I surprised myself ......... it seemed like I was at my kids footy and yelling out encouragement when a mistake was made, but this was first grade NRL.

I was confident they could hit back and I knew they were confident as well, we were right near that ingoal area and the body language didnt suggest negativity at all.
