Haha Vicious now PPhatz has left you're into Halatau.
I'll see you your Halatau with a Morris, raise you a junior burger, place a river on the o'hara and call you on a Galloway

I can`t argue with Morris, although if we were only paying him half of what he`s getting, i`d say he`d be value. Halatau is in the same boat, getting paid about double of what he`s really worth. As a player in the bottom end of the scale in the top 25, i reckon you`d find Shannon McDonnell would get a start at a few other NRL clubs besides ours if we hadn`t signed him. Put it this way, some people are raving about Jarrad Sammut, i know who i`d rather !

i heard from reliable source that wests will split from the tigers and strike up a deal with the bulldogs and play at a revamped campbelltown stadium from 2010.

bascially wests are only part of the name and have no real input into the nrl side of it - also canberra's excess nrl players will play for wests in premier league.

the above should have been the merge in any case with the tigers merging with souths and norths back in and based on the central coast

So what is the reliable source? Wests already had talks with Bulldogs before they merged with Balmain, but they didn't merge with the Bulldogs because the Bulldogs wanted to play all the home games at Telstra. The Bulldogs also wanted the team to be called 'Western Bulldogs' instead of 'Wests Bulldogs' or 'Western Suburbs Bulldogs'. Why would the Bulldogs suddenly want to play all their games at Campbelltown?

A Major re-development of the campbelltown ground will take place contigent on their being a nrl side playing all home games their- the re-developed ground will hold a capacity of 40,000 and be an all seater and include new grandstands/new dressing rooms / press and tv facilities and sponsor boxes.

The tigers won't play anymore than 3 games out there and the bulldogs will- certain people are in discussions on this and possibly an announcement will be made in the near future.

We barely get 17000 on a good day at cambo what makes you think they would build a stadium to hold 40000,me thinks not.

the reason for a 40,000 seater is obvious - finals games/ rugby / football- world cup ring a bell

here's an extract for you all

"Proposed Major changes to be made to Campbelltown Stadium as a result of the re-development would include new Grandstands which includes 20 new Corporate Boxes, new dressing rooms and the stadium being an all seating ground in line with NRL requirements. The Stadium now holds around 20,000 spectators with an expected increase capacity of 35,000 to 40,000 dependent upon the ground configuration following the redevelopment".

Hahahha. For a football world cup !!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahha
Sydney, Melbourne, Campbelltown
I can see the likes of Rooney, Ronaldo, Kaka, Eto'o, Messi etc lining up to kick a ball in Campbelltown
Is this all being bankrolled by FIFA ?
Can see it now ... Holland v Argentina in front of 13,164 at cambo on a sunday
Ink will no doubt blame old Balmain fans for the sh*t turnout

A few things
a) Whats your source

b) The article states that the stadium is being redeveloped, and that extra seating is reliant solely on the grounds configuration after redevelopment has finished.

That doesn't mean it's going to hold 40 thousand at all. Hell it may only get increased to 25 thousand.

c) Campbelltown has always been a strong Rugby League area, how many people in the west are that interested in going to Campbelltown to watch Peru play Venezuela in some world cup game of any code? Because lets face it, when Australia is going to play a world cup game in Australia no matter what code, they'll be playing that game at Homebush.

d) How does this prove that Wests are going to merge with the Bulldogs?

And all for a lousy 3 games a year, world cup and cambo goes together like oil and water.
