Yeah definitely wasn't milking it. Conn just hit him in the sweet spot but I don't see anything vicious about the hit.......looked pretty soft actually.

Yeah I think it was the impact on the ground that caused the concussion, but Conn did get him

What a ridiculous thread.. he had been on for an entire minute, I could understand the milking suggestion if he'd just been on for 30 and was due for a break but why the f**k would he milk it to the point of walking into the dressing room if he'd only just come on?
Surely if he was actually milking it he'd stagger around for abit, get the ~20m and get back into it.

I hope Conn gets punished by the match review committee, whether he got him a good one or not he's dirty spineless f**ker for trying to smack weyman one in a tackle.

lol, there was even a shot of Weyman on the bench in the second half and you could see the egg on his head.

You could see he was disappointed during the second half that he couldn't get back out there .... he has been our most important player for both 2009 and 2010, and there is no way he wouldn't have come back on if he was not concussed.

WE LOVE YOU, HORSE!!

It was bizarre

Immediately, I thought he had uncharacteristically milked it to get a free interchange. But then he didn't come back on, so he obviously didn't. It just didn't look that bad from Conn, but it obviously did some damage

This is the problem with divers and milkers and the rules. When a guy is legitimately hurt like weyman there are doubts over whether he is staying down for the penalty. The video ref should only look at the incident if he genuinely believes that there was a high shot, not just automatically look at every incident.

Conn glanced the top of his head. The egg was on the side. I think he probably hit it on the ground. Wasn't a penalty or worthy of a report. Saints did get a free interchange... I think the reaction must have been because he looked so injured.

There isn't one poster in this thread, including the OP, that believes he milked it though.

Its a gee up of course.

I mean what a brilliant tactic, stay down and dont play the rest of the match, that will show them!!

Just shows how much influence Phil Gould has over events though, (he didnt hit him! then oh it was just a glance), look again and think for yourself. Someone running in at 100miles and hour glancing your head with a clenched fist is going to hurt, Phil Gould's bias or not.

I'm saying Weyman is most definitely not a milker and got hurt by Conn's hit because I saw it happen and I know how physical the game is. He didn't milk it but I have no doubt that the trainers would have told him to stay down (not that he would have been comprehending it) and his team mates would be in the ear of the refs telling him to have a look at it. The refs have set a precedent to look at everything and teams, smartly, are exploiting it.

The bloke raced in with a swinging arm and Weyman copped it on the top of the melon. He looked genuinely groggy. That wasn't a milk. That was a penalty, on report, plain and simple every day of the week.

Agreed. Mick Weyman gets assisted off after only just coming back on, and is groggy in the dressing room. Matt Bowen acts like he's been shot by a sniper. Penalty gets awarded and its amazing, he can dance like Fred Astaire and run the marathon again. Bowen=diving scum, Weyman=genuinely injured.

why just call out bowen, what about carney last week after prince tackled him legitimately, then there is anasta who is the biggest cat in league pretending to be injured just so it is replayed.

Bowen is the king of the dive. No ifs, no buts.

Agreed. I remember clearly an incident in the Raiders match in Townsville where Bowen fell into a Mogg tackle, which got him around tge shoulders even with him falling, and he stayed down like he'd been knocked out.

The tackle was so innocuous, the only contact with the head was Mogg's arm brushing past it like a feather. He miraculously recovered as soon as Mogg was laughably placed on report and a penalty was awarded.

Bowen is hands down the worst diver in the NRL. It isn't even a close contest.
