I would hate Richmond to be in St Kilda's shoes. I like winning things (getting points) the fair way, it wouldn't feel right if we ended up winning the Grand Final, it would feel like we didn't totally deserved it.

Kind of like winning a gold medal at the olympics but being on performance enhancing drugs... it would live with you for the rest of your life and it would feel fake.

People keep saying that the game is over when the umpire hears the siren and puts his arms up in the air, thats correct, but before that the time keeper has to keep sounding the siren for that to happen, so if the first law wasn't followed why should the next one be?

I really couldn't care less to be honest. The game is over when the umpires say so. In the end Freo led by 20 points with 5 minutes to go! It is their fault for letting the game get that close!

I fail to believe the umpire didn't hear the siren. Watch the end of the game again, at least TEN Fremantle players clearly heard the siren, all around the ball and umpire.

Some St Kilda heroes have also admitted they heard the siren and have basically admitted they are nothing more than cheats.

The AFL has to overturn the decision, when 67% of respondents to a Victorian Newspapers poll side with a hated Interstate team over a Victorian one, you know which direction the football public is leaning.

The only people who want the result to stand are St Kilda & West Coast supporters.

meltiger, which Saints players have said they heard the siren? i know they all had huge smiles on their faces walking into training Monday but i didn't think any admitted to hearing the siren.

Correct result.

The umpire cannot hear the siren and therefore cannot signal the game is over if the timekeeper doesn't do his job in the first place.

UndertakerMike, i know your a saints fan.. but do you really think you deserved to win that game? And if you went on to the win the Grand Final by getting into the 8 by 2points... would it really feel like you had earnt it?

I only hope St Kilda do the right thing and move on.

Check with TAB, but from what I know they only pay the result at the end of the game- hence a draw Moffo. Some betting agencies are paying both results.

Honestly Moffo, why not use betfair? They are the more 'reasonable" organisation but the odds are a little less usually.

Same as me mate, im with centrebet though, TAB and Centrebet are about the only two that aren't paying both the draw and freo win.

Im seriously thinking of changing to sportingbet after this.. I know the AFL stuffed up in giving the all clear after the game.. but when other betting agencies can pay out both the draw and freo win surely these two can.
