What a year - 2005

This year was awesome. There was not one outstanding team and not one dominent team all year. It changed from week to week. It was great, made it more fun to watch too, considering you had no idea on who was going to win. The tri-nations was good too. I mean previous years australia has dominated, but this year, NZ did. Well done NZ. Love ya forever. (kiwi at heart )

ive got nothing against the raiders not all tiger fans do infact the only teams i hate is the broncos and Roosters Canberra would be way down my list

Ill be buggered If Im gonna move on....we just won the comp when many predicted us to come last.

We have bragging rights for a long time......and have been pretty good about it so far IMO.

not to bag teams out, but even the teams who finished at the the bottom of the table would have been the best spooners in history.
nukes end of season race with souths was brillant, canberra were very unlucky with injuries.

warriors were dissapointing but still managed to win games they wern't supposed too.
roosters and dogs looked tired, penrith as well.

i still belive given a wildcard entry that nay of the teams mentions could have done some damage in the semi's.
i couldn't have said that about any teams outside the 8 in the past few years.

Saints vs Parra at Jubilee was another Blockbuster that lived up to expectations...

has to be in the top 3 for best games of the yr

This year has to go down as one of the most suprising in the history of RL.

Premiers - West Tigers
Tri-nations champions - NZ

What would have been the odds on that at the begining of the year.

Who says there is no hope for the hopeless. If this year hasn't given those who are having a tough time some hope...I don't know what would...

To put that into even more context the Kiwis did it without
Halatau, Lolesi, SBW, Benji, Cayless, Faumina, Vanakolo just to name a few - boy you can fell that a change in the guard could be longer than just 1yr looking at the players missing out and some of the players coming through the ranks

Kiwis could dominate for sometime to come if they manage to have their young guns injury free

1. Roosters v/ Dragons (Anzac day)
2. Bulldogs v/ Wests (rnd3)
3. Canberra v/ Manly (rnd 7?)
4. Cronulla v/ Warriors (perth)
5. Dragons v/ wests (semi)

Raiders v Tigers, first game 2006.

The stadium is full, the crowd amped and fully charged. The players walk onto the field...the crowd yell and cheer! Oh what a sight! THousands of people singing in unison, never have i seen or heard such passion, such life and hype from this massive crowd.

Lets give the people a listen as the crowd favourite Simon walks onto the field....diiiiikheeeaaad, diiickheeeaadd, diiiiiiicckheeaaaad

And that sums up the feeling towards this Tigers Stalwart, or is he a just another type of contraband, used to blind many?

That's not the point. Yes, you have bragging rights. Yes, you have the right to be arrogant. BUT - it doesn't give you the right to be a total merkin and launch an unprovoked attack on Raiders fans.
