What about Kimmorley?

Absolutely.

There are few smarter players - let alone halfbacks - in the competition.

Offer him a one-year deal that isn't huge on the cash. If he wants to play because he loves the game then he'll take it. If it's not enough money then he's not the player we're after.
Exactly. Noone complained when we signed Galuvao to relatively minimum wage, but like Galuvao, if we signed him, Kimmorley could and would perform a specific role, be a genuine 1st grader and also be a educator off the field for the likes of Morts & Robbo.

Anyway it's just a possibility if the worst were to happen at some point during this year. Our off contract players should be our primary targets, we can worry about replacing people when their futures are determined

galuvao was signed as a depth forward on a next to nothing contract. the bunnies paid most of his contract. even if smokin joe did not play first grade he was always going to be of value as their is a lot of polynesion youngsters at parra and joe is a really good role model to have around. in kimmorley you are talking about letting go of mateo , keating and inu to sign a 34 yr old aging halfback! what happens when he doesnt produce ??? i bet you were in favour of us signing gary freeman aswell , and paul green , adrew mcfadden probally sounded like a good idea to you aswell lol.

No we're not. Offer him a cheap, one year contract and that's it.

Kimmorley would produce.

None of these players are anywhere near the calibre of Kimmorley. Only Thurston is a better halfback than Kimmorley atm. Massively experienced, origin and Test halfback, who would bust his arse in what he would know is his final year.

For a cheap price that's unbelievable value.

Jason Taylor......

Took us to a Grand Final. Kimmorley could very well go one better and win it.

Who says that Kimmorley would change clubs for a cheap contract when he could stay where he is for the same or better money?

Absolutely, Eng.

My offer would be put forward but I wouldn't expect it to even be a consideration for him unless it was basically a case of accept it or retire.

Did you read the 2nd paragraph of my last post? I said Mateo, Keating & Inu should be our primary targets. If they decide to go elsewhere then Kimmorley could be a decent option.

Because if we were to make an offer to him it would mean the Dogs would have likely signed Keating & there might not be a spot at the Dogs for Kimmorley
