Early 2006 is gonna be great, a new Nine Inch Nails album & a new Radiohead album. If anyone wants me, I'll be in heaven.

if you have bit torrent, you can get it now
i downloaded it earlier this week
it's pretty good

And I'm sure the bands appreciate your support too. All those bittorent downloads must be making them really rich....

I always download an album before buying it, the same way as I try on a jumper before buying.

I've got no problem with that, I do it myself or at least check out a few songs. But some people just download stuff and never buy any music at all.

Overpriced? I don't have a problem forking out a whole $20 for music that I like. What do you want? An album for $1? There wouldn't be anyone making music. Support the artists you wanker.

cds are $30 for anything new
$20 for cds that were made 20 years ago
$15 would be acceptable
also, you're not really supporting the artist much at all by buying cds, seeing as the record company gets most of the profits

if you look hard enough you will never ever have to pay $30 for the CD. Also, given you dont want to support the record company who actually makes getting the music out to you possible, I gather you email the artist offering to pay them direct?

I plan to never buy any music again. I don't give a sh*t about the artists. My only justification is that I'm a thieving f**kwit.

CDs shouldn't be more than $20. They're around $15-16 in Canada for a similar market.

There are no excuses.

Australian artists whinging about missed revenue are like those great Australian comedy and drama tv and film creators. Do something decent and it will sell/rate.

Well, I didn't have to wait for very long to get my Queen+Paul Rodgers 'Return Of The Champions' cd - I picked a copy up on Wednesday arvo.

As for downloading, I only download songs I can't find in cd stores. I've never downloaded a whole album - and probably never will. That's just me though.
