We played the Chooks at the SFS in 99 and won in front of 4k people in pissing down rain. This lunatic was in the same bay as me and my mates but he was down on the fence. Game was played on Saturday 26 June 1999, started at either 2.00 pm or 3.00 pm. Crowd as you said was 4,029. We were missing a few key players (i.e. Lam and Fittler) but the Roosters were terrible whilst the Cowboys were solid. I was that disgusted I got up and left with 20 minutes to go.

Yep that was a horrible Saturday afternoon, the Cowboys schooled us that day, they were up 16-0 till Ryan Cross scored after the siren at half time, I thought the try on half time would have motivated the Roosters but the Cowboys came out in the 2nd half liked they played in the 1st half and blitzed the Roosters, the Roosters scored a couple of late tries to make the score line a little more respectable.

The time I saw Brian escorted from the ground was up at Penrith Park but I cannot remember what year it was.
