A shy accountant I used to work with came UK to me and asked why I was wearing this shirt and who “this man is?”. She was Lithuanian and noticed his surname.. she also told me it’s slang for “mushroom”. Ha

Re the photos of North Sydney Oval - the tree is the only living thing in any of them that has seen a Bears premiership.

There was a big tree like that just outside Kogarah Oval that The Skull used to perch himself upon & yell abuse non stop because he was banned for life from all RL grounds.

There was a big tree like that just outside Kogarah Oval that The Skull used to perch himself upon & yell abuse non stop because he was banned for life from all RL grounds.

I remember him standing on the milk crates behind the old north west fence. I’d be on the kogarah hill and you could still here him yelling all day quite easily.

But it was only kogarah where he was banned.i was at many other games where he’d roll into the ground. Once at Belmore the peanuts man was wandering around the hill and Skull got the whole hill chanting “PEA-NUTS (clap clap clap), PEA-NUTS (clap clap clap)...”

The only person not chanting was the peanuts man, oblivious to it all and still wandering the hill trying to sell his peanuts out of the old black vinyl bag.. often wonder what ever happened to him.
