Controversial opinion but I really dug those Manly uniforms. Maroon is a drab colour (sorry banana-benders, it is. Let's face it. It's a combination of a bright, bold colour like red with a dull, poo colour like brown) and white has always felt like a lazy, unimaginative second colour in a 2-tone colour scheme. The addition of the blue and red colours (although influenced 100% by $) and applied in the manner it was, served as the perfect accent to that scheme. The fact Pepsi is a universally-recognised brand with a smart logo (and subjectively makes a better product than their biggest rival) was just a bonus.
