What day of the week?

Just wondering if the club's got to choose Fri/Sat, Sun or Monday to play their home games on the same day every weekend to ensure big crowds, what day would day would they Parra choose to suit the supporters and get bigger crowds?
The reason I ask is I have noticed that the Cowboys (and they have for a couple of years) always get Saturday night's when playing at home, and this year the Drongo's have played all their's Friday nights, why aren't they played on Saturday,Sunday or Monday's.

Would probably have to look over our crowd statistics in recent years to make a good business decision on it...

But my personal preference for attending would be Sunday afternoons.

Yeah agree with Bartman. It's best to leave things up to those in the know. Also need to consider what days people people spend more on food drinks, head to the club after etc. There are so many factors which need to be considered to understand the economy of it all.

Personally, I love attending sunday arvo games like a lot of people. The fact more people will attend daytime footy is a bit of a myth though, so no reason to change.

The reason the Dragons keep playing on a friday night is simple. Channel 9's tv deal allows them to choose which 2 games are played on a friday due to ratings. They pick the Dragons as they rate well, as they do with Parra when we're playing well.

The NRL schedules games around the tv deals with Nine and Foxtel. It's a bit messy but that's why so many games are played at night, it's because that is prime time and networks pay a lot for the rights.

I like Friday night footy, but on second thoughts I also like saturday nights and sundays. Just not Mondays!

I know I asked the several former members of the Board of Directors what was the best time to have a game at Parramatta Stadium and I was always told that Sunday Afternoon was the best for the club in terms of Numbers on a whole, it has the best in terms of Attendance and the best in terms of other economic outcomes as well as other agencies that help put on these games have less "incidents" on these games overall.

I like Fridays because it is a great way to end the working week, you can have a few drinkies and wake up late on Saturday with the whole weekend in front of you to do whatever :D :D :D

this is what we see it at ANZ - families come to the footy on a sunday, young singles and corporate types come to the footy at night.

Personally i wish they would bring back the 3 oclock saturday game. Afternoon at the footy, with the wife and kids, followed by a night on the town with mates, concluding with a recovery session on sunday.
