Hi All,

As part of us going to the board in regards to the club slipping on fan relations in recent years we also want to do an overview of the differing clubs webistes.

What do you like about the Official Site? (eg. eels reel?)
What would you like to see on there? (eg. injury updates, player stories?)
What have you seen on other clubs websites that you think would be great to have on the Eels one? (eg. more stories? injury updates?)

Please do not comment on the setup of the Message Board as I imagine this will remain as is due to previous issues.

Ideas people, put your thinking caps on!!!!!... and if necessary go into some of the other clubs websites... the AFL ones too are very good.

If you could all put some thought and quick research into it that would be really great!

* I would like to see player profiles for Premier league, Jersey Flegg, Mathews and Ball squads as well as match reports and upcoming fixtures.

This must be continuelly updated to keep people interested as eelz says they still have an old squad listed which i think is 05.

* A special profile and indepth interview with one player a week, this player can be any number of players from the fulltime squad down to Mathews.

* A weekly coach's report.

* more competitions.

tbh, the only thing I really like at the moment is the eels reel and the efficiency in the way they name the teams each week.

I'd like to see a coaches Blog. Updated a few times a week with a "fly on the wall" aspect of the team and what goes on during the week, game day etc. Not hard to write a paragraph every day or two, rather than the sanitized Coaches Interview that we usually get on a Monday morning.

If Hages is to busy then delegate to an assistant coach.

I like how the teams are out like clockwork on a tuesday arvo, and the main thing I would be desperate for is a detailed match report for premier league and jersey flegg.

real Live scores of all game including the trials. Not 20 minute delay.

Have a look at the Australian open live scores and compare them with the live tv coverage. It is undated within 3 seconds.

* Injury Updates on ALL injured players across all grades to at least Flegg.

* Proper profiles of juniors down to the Flegg level at least - name, dob, position, junior club and a photo is more than appropriate.

* A regular update on the PL and JF scores and scorers plus a half page match report, motm update.

calender of events, which includes training, matches publuc appearances etc. if it isnt an 'open' training session, no need to name the training venue.

more info on the clubs history

I also sent this to Ovo in September last year

Players from our Club, Write or are Ghost Written articles for some Local papers.

Some People that follow the eels don't get this insight into their club.

Is there a way to Republish these articles on the Parramatta Eels website.

Even if we give full signage at the Top of the Article saying "Courtosy of the Blah Blah Local Rag" it would allow more fans, like those that do not live in the District, Those that live Interstate or in the country, the same information as those that do get them from the Western Weekened or the Parramatta Advertiser.

These could be Held over for 1 day after they are Published by the Paper to give them excuslivity.

Also, I think we need to Clean up the Eels Website.

To me it is just a little to Busy and Cluttered The NRL's site while the Content is not perfect and is also definatly something we could not Copy, we could look as that sort of format.

That way we could remove the Front page with the Team News or Sponserhip which is great maybe once ore twice but doesn't work after that and becomes A bit boring and a hassle to click through if you want to Browse it discreetly.

Having the Advertising for the Blue and Gold army as a picture file means people have to squint and move closer to the Ad to see what it means.

The POP ups need to go like Right now. IE6 on Windows XP SP2 will automaticlly Block them

The Banner at the Top of the Page is good.

Maybe putting the Sponsers on the Right hand Side were the Table is. and Having an Expanded Menu System along the side could be a Deal easier to read and Navigate. The Current System measn that if you are a Micron off the entire menu system and retracted and you have to start again.

Also means you make more room at the Top but Narrowing the Tabs underneight the Banner, Also if you click the Banner it should take you to the Home Page.

Also can we please update some of the Information,

The Site is still showing Team Lists from the 2005 Premier League and Flegg Teams.

Maybe have the Type of Corporate partners links on the Sponsers Graphic Eg Parramatta Eels our Number 1 Corporate Partner.
