What happened at half time?

IMO souths clocked off 20 before half time. They were worse than cronulla we just showed more will to win on this occasion. My worry is still that we didn't look like scoring on too many occasions, but the upside is that attitude and desire were way up which suggests further improvement is inevitable.

Agree 100%. The great thing is that this win will bring to training a belief that they can still play decent footy like last year and (hopefully) can do the same next week against a rudderless NQ.

souths halves went mia like they usually do every few weeks, which helped us in leaps and bounds

not to mention wesser thinking he had a 6 on his back, the amount of errors he made....deadset looks like gladstone small at fullback

Andrew Johns half time report on channel 9 said that Anderson pleaded with the players to show some enthusiasm .....

That is absolutely mind blowing if true. wtf???

I personally think in a match of that importance, that for a coach to make that request to the players is a pretty sad indictment of our attitude at the moment.

He was truly awful wasn't he ...

We invited them to put us away before half time with awful errors but they either matched them or threw six nothing tackles at us. This rounds saw some pretty ordinary footy all round. It was like the early season adrenalin wore off, and the impact of injuries and fatigue set in.

we finally won without hayne doing anything, good confidence boost for the other play makers, but still no where where we want to be.

I haven't seen the game yet but it sounds like Souths have done to us what we've done to other teams for the last 4weeks...

It's going to be a pretty close comp!

Well nothing else has worked in other half time talks, i think its a good thing to hear, Let the players talk about why they are playing s**t and letting the coach down... The last 2 weeks after the loss to sharks and raiders every player interviewed said they werent playing to the game plan, so they abviously havent been listening to the coach. Smart work by Anderson to let them sort it out.

I'm sure Ando's plea for enthusiasm probably included its fair share of colourful words.
