What I really appreciated was that we didn't really miss Hindy that much.

Lasalo was terrific, best I have seen him play. All the forwards put in. Paulo and O'Hanlon put in good efforts too.

For mine, the decision to drop Burt was proven correct last night. Could anyone image Burt manhandling Manu like Blair did?

I thought Sio was exceptional (out of position), and Blair showed some great potential too. We had a big, strong, fast backline again.

Imagine at full strength:

Hayne
Sio
Loko/Morgan
W Tonga
Blair
Roberts
Sandow

That is a pretty good backline in both attack and defence.

Yeah agree that all 4 props were good. Lasalo and Maitua were awsome in both A & D.

TBH the only players who gave us a below par game were Esi, Maguire & POH.

Just on POH. I get that they are bringing him along slowly, but I'm not part of his cheer squad.

WT had a quiet game but was solid in defence. They need to get him some clean ball !

Lasalo easily had his best game last night, he now needs to produce that week in and week out not just a few times a year.

Roberts is the perfect foil for sandow, as with lasalo we need him to be more consistent.

I'm liking what I've seen from Blair in his limited touches, love to see him at centre though.

Some great positives from last nights effort. IMO the warriors are a top 4, if not top 2 side. Our forwards matched them and had good aggression. One of Poore's hits made a cracking sound that echoed through the Ken Thornett stand.

The Kicking game was much improved and the backs looked dangerous in attack..Roberts had a fine game linking the attack well. A bad miss tackle on Hurrell one on one, but he's not the only guy that will receive the moari side step from that guy..he's a tank. Sandow..unpredictable in attack and a few inspirational hits in defence.

Sio and Blair were quality and justified there selection easily.

Bring on the cow girls!

What i did like about last night was at 18-8 after our great start and then losing Hayne we were right in the game until we throw that loose pass on their line. In years gone by we could have been buried by 40.

Im a fan. He's still very young and got a lot of improvent, but I think we really need the 'type' of player he can be. He's obviously got a fair amount of improving before he's a regular first grader, but if he can fill out a bit and get some mongrel he will be very valueble to us.

He might be a guy that takes bit longer to cope with first grade, but once he has the confidence that he can match it at this level I think he'll be really good for us

I liked for the first 15 mins when we had Hayne, Roberts and Sandow all working together inside the Warriors 20! We looked like world beaters! How many times in the last couple of season have we entered the opposition 20 and played with such conviction? i can't remember any!

Great to see Sio and Blair play so well. Sio is a dead set star and Blair gives us that size and strength coming out of our own end that we have lacked since EGJ left.

Most of the games I've seen Willie play are at left centre... He should play there and bring Morgan to right centre.

Regarding our attack, it wasn't as simple as we lost our direction when Hayne went off.
From what I saw when Hayne was on the field (and correct me if I am wrong), Hayne and Sandow were on one side and Reni and Roberts were on the other side. Both sides set up a try each in the opening 20 mins, but then Hayne went off. This meant Reni went to centre breaking up his combination with Roberts. While Sio went to fullback and he did a good job but is no ball player thus there was no combination with Sandow. So basically with Hayne out we lost our attacking combinations on both sides.

In additional to that with Hindmarsh out we lost that bit of defence in the middle which may have prevented a try or two.

Overall a good effort but we really need to win on sat night

spot on, losing Hayne no doubt mucked with out attacking structure and im sure Hayne would have floated to the left side as well. But we did not only lose Hayne but Maitua, he simply would have had a far greater impact in the back row.

Yeah, I thought I saw POH filling in for Hayne in one of our set moves, and it goes without saying that the move broke down pretty badly

i liked the fact our play the balls were quicker and the dummy half service was better. We have the players to win footy game if we play like a team and do it together. In round 1 it looked like a bunch of blokes running around in parra jerseys and thought thier job was done when they were tackled not after the played the ball.

i thought our dummy half service was still a bit slow and not crisp enough,
like the pass that was thrown to McGuire at his feet 5 out, also the service to sandow wasnt fast enough ,by the time he got the ball (kicks especially ) they were on him, + they were moving up fast .

Keating isn't an 80 minute player, maybe 50 - 60 minutes. casey should've replaced him in the last 25. If Keating is going to continue to be in the side SK needs to realise that Matt isn't an 80 minute player. he defends well and tries hard but his service is slow
