What is better: Friday 6pm or Sunday 6pm

Imagine trying to get to a 6 o'clock start on Friday night at Belmore in Sydney traffic. Disgraceful scheduling

They want you to go home and watch the game on Pay-TV and stay tuned in on Foxtel when 8pm game starts

They might as well play in front of a empty stadium and save on hiring crowd control or catering

I'm fine with a game being on 3am Friday, Saturday and Sunday when I get up for a piss . . . fits in with hobbies, mid day nap more hobbies, beer o'clock or sorting out recordings . . . retirement shouldn't be this hectic

For me... Friday at 6pm or Monday at 7pm are the same. It's still going to alienate a group of fans. I thought Monday was ok, yes it is hard to get fans to the game but how about just throw the gates open on mondays. The clubs get their costs covered for the night. Not sure 6pm will ever be the answer.

Roosters play Sea Eagles in the time slot. How could fans possibly make the 6pm game especially workers... That crowd will set records and not good ones...

I struggled to make it in time for kick off on Monday night games that started at 7pm.

Going to have little to no chance to make it for the 6pm Friday game.

For that reason, 6pm Sunday is the better timeslot.

Especially when you consider ANZAC Parade has reduced capacity due to the construction of the light rail.

I wish to take them...they absolutely love the footy.
But it's getting late for a Sunday night.
They go to bed at 7.45 on school nights.
Friday's is shit for the fact it's makes it hard to get to.
I don't think the 6pm game will last long
I'm sure it wouldn't hurt them if they had to go to bed at 8:45-9pm for just one night.

The 6pm game would be over at 7:45pm.

Its not just my kids though.
6pm kick off on a sunday night in winter is not good for anyone really.
People don't want to be going out then.
They want to be getting home by 6pm.
Monday night footy was a debacle.
No f**ker went to that either.

I'm talking the majority of people here and mostly young families .

hey ...I'll gladly watch it on tv .
but it is a shit time to have to go to the game.

also .
I'm one of the people who can easily go to that early Friday game and take my kids.
However, I agree with most that it will be a logistical nightmare for the majority of people trying to get there on time.

I went to quite a few Monday nights at ANZ actually. Probably about half of them I got too but Geez it was a rush.

Well you should see Souths draw, all our games at home at ANZ bar 2 are all Friday nights at 8pm. Now that's not family friendly.

I can't understand how the Dogs get 8 day games. What a joke.

Personally, I think I'm going to enjoy the Friday 6pm game although I do think it is not great for the game overall...

I can see myself knocking off at 4pm on Fridays - home, changed and down the local watering hole well before the double header kick off time of 6pm...

Agree totally, fits well into my schedule and other tradies that finish around the 3pm mark. We are only a small section of society of course, we get to taste that first beer lol
