What is wrong with the Broncos?

Today, I saw a team playing with the same philosophy that they did in 2000. The power game worked for the Broncos that year, but it seems to me that the Broncos are not changing with the times.
The Broncos have some bloody good forwards, but they run one-out all the damn time. The Bronco forwards don't seem to have ball-playing ability in them either.
Lockyer is a good 5/8th, but an outstanding fullback. He should go back there in 2006. Hunt will need to find a new position and the Broncs will need to find a playmaker, but they need to do it.
Brett Seymour doesn't seem to cut the mustard at the Broncs. I thought Ben Walker was playing better footy at Souths than Seymour is atm. Maybe, the Broncs need to look at Chris Sheppard / Adam Dykes.
Broncs management should focus on ball-playing in the forwards this off-season. Some of their forwards are way too bulky and get tired quickly.

I wish we'd kept Barnes

Barnes to five-eight

Lockyer to fullback

Hunt to... wing?
Yep. Barnes had the makings of a champion, but he was given no game time and now he's off with the rah rahs.

I'd say barnes' would be a chance of returning once his Union contract expires?

Hunt, Minto, Thorn, Seymour  Little league (Very VERY average)

Tate, forwards who aren't retiring  passing clinic

He has a clause in his contract stating that if he's unhappy after one season with the Reds, he can return to league.

Some of their players are too old, but, just like the Australian Cricket team, the old players are among their best. What does Bennett do? Lean times ahead for the bronco's I think. (ditto for the aussies)

Brisbane need to update and Bennent needs to take a risk.

Berrick Barnes I believe will come back once there is room for him.

Better send Shaun Berrigan there too, he doesn't pass the ball.

They've just held onto a few players for way to long.

I mean,l these guys are not that bad, but they are just to old. You cant hold onto players forever!

They BADLY need a halfback. They also need to become more mobile.

I think Tonie Carroll need a big year in 2006 or its time to give him his papers.

You aslo have to expect problems when they keep brining back old players and no blooding young players in key positions.

Minto and Carlaw should never play first grade again.

Yeh seymour sucks. Broncs problem is now all their forwards are on the wrong side of 30 and they dont have the juniors they once had coming up in the forwards.

We do, but the problem is that Bennett won't use them. Instead, we are relying on 36 year old Darren Smith (he has played well though)...

Seymour has a good short kicking game and the more experience the better he will become.

I just think injuries and a lack of confidence really hurt the back end of our season.

Until next year...

Ive never really seen a Brisbane side play so ordinary... no chasers on kicks, absolutely no support play. What the hell was wrong with lockyer chasing Benji when he got his first try? Locky was the Australian fullback FFS surely he could catch Benji.... If lockyer gets Australian 5/8 or captaincy its a dead set discrace.
Cant belevie you guys are blaming the forwards though, they smashed tigers forwards. Had the broncos had a support player in their team they would have score atleast 5 trys from the forwards runs.
Corey Parker... if hes not over-rated ill eat my hat. What a player he is.
