20 minutes into the new Roadhouse and lol this f**king suxxxxxxxxx

I hope you got paid well Jakey G
I found it watchable but not much more than that.

The cast was a big letdown. The best thing about it was Jake and the spoilt brat villain. The rest were forgettable. Conor was memorable for the wrong reasons.....clearly no acting chops or potential there.

It was okay but not one that will get a rewatch from me.....unlike the original that I probably watch 2-3 times a year.....lol.

This movie sucked balls. The entire cast was C list.

The only good scene was the last fight.

Connor was a pantomime villain.

The Dry

have meant to watch this for a while.
A real slow burner. Eric Bana is divine. Great story all round. Gonna have to watch the 2nd one now.

The 12th Man. 8.5 Surprised I hadn't heard of this one.

Norwegian war movie based on true events. Many seem fantastical but apparently pretty close to what happened.

Basically a group of sabatuers get dicovered and one escapes before being huntes across Norway as he tries to reach Sweden.

Well worth a watch

Roadhouse Remake… had fun with watching it.

pretty stupid film but if you accept it for what it is you shouldn’t be disappointed.

I hadn’t seen the original but the story was hardly groundbreaking stuff.

I was intrigued at Conor McGregor making his acting debut… and I had seen some reactions from it saying he stole the show etc…

that couldn’t be further from the truth IMO… he was f**king terrible. Like porno level bad… lol.

but meh…. It’s still worth a watch if your into action films

Watched it .8.5/10 also.
Great storytelling …
The more Nordic movies I watch the more I realise how brilliant they are compared to the Hollywood crap churned out these days .

I gave up after 25 minutes, didn’t even get to McGregor… it was abysmal

Try Riders of Justice if you haven't already.

Another that I have heard good things about but not yet seen is Promised Land.

"Riders of Justice" is the only foreign language film I've seen at the cinema. I LOVED it. A unique style of film with unique type of humour as well. Very good film.

Very memorable characters I think of often.

One of my favourite films ever.

If you like foreign films try Wild Tales which is on Netflix now.

Mads Mikellson is an extremely engaging actor.....but you are right with the supporting cast as well. They were brilliant in their comic delivery.

The movie took me by surprise. I didn't think comedy told in a foreign language film would be so effective...but it was here. But, the blend between humour and seriousness in this film was incredible. Both aspects worked perfectly. I wish more people saw this movie.....but I do admit that even from myself...a foreign language movie can be a put off. I seriously don't know why as of the limited ones I've seen, definitely more have been good than bad. "The Intouchables" is a bloody brilliant French comedy that hits all the right notes at the right times. "The Vanishing" is a brilliant, dark Dutch (I think) film that was much better than its USA remake. There was a French version of "Rear Window" that was pretty damn good too. Definitely, something I need to give more of a shot.

watching dune 2, it's pretty decent. I just don't like the fact they have mixed accents, like the common and evil ones are more arabic, and the protagonists have american accent

Watched it when I woke up this morning. Definitely enjoyed it more then the first one. Still nothing amazing though. But it definitely peaked my interest in the third, when I was feeling so so going into the second after my impressions of the first.

Nothing really wow'd me about it. It was an above average sci fi film. Nothing more. I enjoyed but won't ever watch it again.

I made the mistake of watching Dune 2 at about 8.45pm on a Sunday, even though I was enjoying it on the Imax screen could feel my eyes getting heavy about 2 hours in so kinda zoned out in what was probably the pivotal climax of the film (wasn't necessarily bored just a bit old and still recovering from the prior weekends stag do ha!).
Might give it another go before it leaves theatres.

Most recently saw Late Night With The Devil last week - quirky 'horror' set around a single episode of a 70s late night episode where the host in a bid to get ratings has a spooky episode where he interviews a possessed girl and 'hilarity' ensues.

Was quite entertaining having had no knowledge of the film beyond the general premise above and knowing it had positive feedback at recent festivals. I was kinda hoping for a bit more unnerving creepiness like the Exorcist or Omen, there was a bit of that then it kinda went off the deep end hah!
