Calibre (Netflix) Two blokes head up to an isolated Scottish Highlands village for a weekend hunting trip. The situation managed to continuously escalate in a believable fashion. Great ending too. I’d say it’s easily one of the better Netflix Original films. Don't watch any of the trailers they have major spoilers. Blame Uncle Axl if you hate it.

Very intense psychological thriller A-

Cheers, saw this the other night and thought it looked good. Went to The Highlands recently so was keen to watch it. Will give it a go Thursday night

2nd one was woeful. I couldn't buy the whole 'children save the world' story. The jaegers did more damage to the city than the kaiju...

Wanted - I vaguely remember watching this on dvd 10 odd years ago and I didn’t think too much of it TBH...

Saw it came up on amazon prime so gave it another look... I gotta say I enjoyed the f**k out of it.

I don’t know what was up with me a decade ago but this was great... the story was certainly original... albeit abit kooky when it came to the whole secret assassin thread code thingy... but it had a nice twist which served the story well.

it was also action packed with nice stylish set pieces and all of it underlined by a f**king killer sountrack.

And of course I forgot how f**king HOT Angelina Joile was... this was peak Angelina... that scene when she gets out of the bath and you see that ass and those tats... daaaaaaaaaamn....
I’ve got on Blu Ray great movie especially when Mccvoy character smashes a keyboard on the head of Prat And all the pieces break up in the air spelling the word f**k you great cinema

Long plane trip.

Tomb Raider. OK, would have been good if they didnt put some obvious game bits in. Biggest gripe is Lara is meant to have a rack.

Den of Thieves. 6.5. Could have been an 8 but needlessly long (could easily have dropped bits like the meeting the boyfriend), and Gerard Butler is a sh!thouse actor.

Pacific Rim Uprising. As said before not as good as the first. Not by a long way.

Blockers. Unbelievable and unfunny.

Went to the cinemas for the first time in ages to watch Sicario: Day of the Soldado. I really enjoyed the first one so was keen watch this with a few mates. For me, this movie will enter the realm of a sequel/follow up definitely not living up to the original. Dare I say, save your money.

JFK I saw this film in Hawaii in Dec of 1991, what can you say about this film, this is when Oliver Stone was at his peak as a director with movies like Platoon, Salvador, and who can forget the movie The Doors.
Kevin Costner’s performance as Attorney general Garrison was awesome truly one of the best conspiracy movies around.

Singularity

Pretty sure I’ve never seen a big pile of absolute dog turd. The plot has holes you could drive a bus through, the acting is woeful and the CGI looks like it was designed on an IBM 486

f**k me. Usually like cusack but god the whole thing was putrid. Do yourself a favour and don’t go anywhere near it

I saw it this afternoon. I quite liked it. Not as good as the original was but still a very good watch. I just love watching Del Toro....never hams it up.

Den of Theives was a good movie IN SPITE of Gerard Butler as one of the leads. I thought the villain was very good. Swap butler with someone more engaging and it could have been a classic.
