What old 90's games would you like to see remade?

So far this year, we've seen Sonic and Mortal Kombat given huge old for new remakes. What other games would you like to see be remade in NExt Gen style?

Here are my top three....

1. Road Rash

The Sega Mega Drive version was bad ass. It's game play and replay value was very good. The PC versions gameplay was shithouse though and was really only good for the soundtrack.

I could imagine a 2012 version to have insane graphics and excellent online multiplayer mode.

2. Carmageddon

I don't care about all the bad reviews this game got. I loved blowing shit up, running over pedestrians and gaining insane power-ups. Who would pass up a modified killing machine with a buzz saw for a roof???

3. ET's Rugby League

I would like any Rugby League in the last 20 years to be remade. The recent abominations should be ashamed to call themselves "games".

ET's was a sentimental favorite of mine though. The Sensible Soccer template translated very well to a stable and solid game. A formula that future attempts at a Rugby League game should follow.... look at what they do for current popular soccer games, take that template and turn it into a League version.

Road Rash 1 & 2 are my most desired but I'd much prefer just to see then released as they are in the arcade on XBL/PSN.

ET's Rugby League was just awesome. They had a blindside scrum play that always resulted in a try 20 metres out. I'd love to see that released as it were.

Other games I'd love to see released as they were:

ARL 96 for PC - the greatest RL game bar none
Keef the Theef -1990's?
Lost Dutchman Mine
The Duel Test Drive 2
Grand Prix Racing
Battlechess - although I believe that is being released
Need for Speed 3
Thief 2
The OG Ninja Gaiden series
The OG Castlevania series

None. They're all classics and legends of games. They are the kinds of gaming and deserve to be left alone. Not be damaged by a re-made. But they that's just my opinion.

These were my games of the 90's though:
- Wolfenstein
- Duke Nukem
- Need for Speed
- Croc

Its an 80's game but Geoff Crammond's Sentinel.

Psygnosis did an updated version (Sentinel returns) in the late 1990's but they completely screwed it up. It just didn't have the atmosphere the original had.

The original on the C64 with tape drive took me months to clock, Sentinel returns took me less than a week to complete.

I clocked the original on the C64, Amiga, Spectrum and PC.

Some classics in here, Carmageddon, Wings and It Came from The Desert could be awesome if done properly.

Syndicate should be up there too, there is a sequel of sorts coming but it's nothing like the original.

Don't want these remade, but my favourite games of the 90s are:

Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries (would love to see a movie though, would rip Transformers a new one)
Mortal Kombat
Age of Empires
California Games
Need For Speed SE (loved Autumn Valley Raceway in a blue Dodge Viper)
Wonder Boy in Monster World
NBA Jam
Alex Kidd in Miracle World
Golden Axe
Grand Theft Auto
Daytona (with my friends down at Timezone)
Doom
Destruction Derby

System Shock would be awesome as well. Pity EA own the rights to that and Ultima so that will ensure nothing ever happens and if it does it'll be rubbish anyway.

The only difficulty with a nextgen carmageddon remake is that it will end up getting refused classification in Australia.
