I was devastated when Hegs left earlier this year. By far the worst decision our management has made. I was also unhappy when Ashley Harrison left.

I heard about some news that Christiano Ronaldo looks set to leave Man U. The tissue companies will run out of stock shortly due to my devastation.

Which bring me to this subject. What players departure devastated you the most from your club?

I'd have to say Scott Prince from the Wests Tigers. I bare no grudges against Prince as he paid his dues for our club over and over again. I'll always respect his immense contribution to our club. But, every Wests Tigers fan knew in their gut that we were in deep kaka from the moment he left. We are still feeling the effects of his departure today.

Brasher's departure was also sad, but he also paid his dues in a big way. While he did not turn out to be a big loss, Glenn Morrison also put a ffew holes in my heart when he left the club that nurtured him. Unlike Brasher and Prince, he did not pay his dues.

Amazing how linked to the Cowboys all three of those players are that you mentioned.

There are still Cowboys fans to this day that are bitter at Prince for the way he ran out on the club that developed him from a kid and poured lots of time and resources into.

Morrison is one of the all time best Cowboys players, he was easily our best player in the seasons that he played here (excluding the last season when LOD and Thurston arrived).

Brasher was thought to be past it when he came to us but played really well before serious injury.

Plentry of good stock left the Eels in recent years. Whilst I had pangs of regret for Hodgeson and Schif, they lasted a few seconds.

For me - go back to Ray Price.

I was annoyed that we had let Josh Morris go waiting to see what Gasnier was going to do. I'm happy that he was doing well up until his injury but jeez would have been good to see the brothers up against each other this Friday. Disapointed to see Setu leave as well, although he hasn't kicked on like I thought he would.

Michael O'Connor. And then another kick in the guts when he was jumping out of locker room windows recruiting for Super League.

agree with that one .. i was only a young pup at the time and didnt really understand all the machinations of manly being merkins. They then proceeded to turn OConnor into an even bigger merkin. Ah well.

Tingha, Choc and Tallis for various reasons ...

In recent times though - Besty. A good solid first graded unfairly maligned over Mark Gasniers inability to read in defence.

I was devastated when Brandy left Penrith at the end of 1994 to link with the Warriors. Looking back though, I can understand why he did.

Same with Mark Geyer. I remember ordering a NSW State Of Origin jersey with his name and number on the back mid-'92 and then three weeks later, he left the club. Again, I can understand why.

It was great, however, that both were able to come back and finish their careers with Penrith.

The biggest loss of all was Brad Fittler. I think the majority of Penrith shed enough tears to fill the Nepean River when he left

For the Knights it has to be Matty Johns. It was devastating for Knights fans to see him go and although we still won the GF the next year it was a shame we wasnt there to help joey hold up the trophy considering he still made more of a contribution to that team that what Sean Rudder did that year.

Everytime I watch Scott Prince I wonder what could have been.

Our biggest loss ever and even after three years we are still struggling to overcome his absence.

I was devastated to see Luke Patten leave, to be discarded as quickly as he was for Amos Roberts (who was sh*t at the time) was sad to see particularly when he could have stayed at the club for the next ten years.

In recent times, I would have to say Jason Ryles who wanted to play his career out at the Dragons but was virtually forced to leave.
