Vella would go well - Chan killed it this year so Vella with a bit more pace would be fantastic.
Howver I would be more inclined to give the young blokes a go - get them used to performing on a big stage where there isn't any pressure to perform.
The other thing is - Vella and Lyon have had injuries that will need to be looked after. Do we bring back players for a hit and giggl competition and risk their seasons ala Barrett etc.
Some of the young blokes - or McKinnon, Kativerata, Halliday and so on would be more "expendable" then our star players.
Sevens trophy was nice but I would rather suck at the Sevens and walk away with the big prize!
