I can understand maguire doing it for a set of 6 or 2 to see if he shakes it off but not 40 minutes.

It was absurd.

Maguire claims GI "wanted to stay on" which i have no doubt is true but this kind of links in with the whole concussion thing, the players need to be saved from themselves.

Yeah, its a bit hard to believe he wanted to stay on. The way he kept waving to the bench to indicate he was was stuffed contradicts the coach methinks.

There was a shot of Inglis on TV last night waving his hand in front of his throat to indicate he was done. He was told to stay out there and the disgust on his face was immense.

Maguire is the only decent thing of any worth at $ouff$, he knows what he is doing.
Its easy to get upset without knowing the full story.

Anyone I think he knows Ingli$ should have retired last year and is just proving his point
Maguire>Soup Nazi . . . take his broth the way he prepares it or starve

He was obviously struggling and motioned to the bench during the 1st half that he was no good. His contribution was always going to be limited, and he was more a liability to the team and to himself being left out there. I know Gus can be over the top, but I think he was right. It's round one, he's inured himself. Get him off the field before he makes it worse and makes his recovery longer.
Maybe someone who watches 9 should have telexed Inglis . . . there are still some who smoke and can't afford Fox

It was stupid to keep him on.

I think the footage at half time was more concerning. Madge seemed to be berating players. The aggressive fire up coach has a limited shelf life at any one club. I think a change might be good fir both parties in the not too distant future

Same type of coach who leaves a Clearly concussed Alex Glenn on the field for the rest of the half
How those trainers were allowed to let him get up and play on after sitting on the deck for 5 minutes has got me buggered.

He can start the action against the broncos and use mcmanus' lawyers. While GI can sue the rabble for ending his career

You mean the 35 seconds where Glenn took no part in the game before coming off for the rest of the match?

Sure he played only 35 more seconds, but how long was play stopped for?

My point is, if a guy sits on the ground for the length of time Glenn did, then he shouldn't be allowed to return to play. Not for 5 seconds, not for 35 seconds, not for 10 minutes.
If a player needs assistance to stand and compose himself then he needs to come straight off for an assessment.
The player should not be allowed to play on and then be pulled off after video is reviewed.

Reminds me a bit of Daniel Anderson. Got the Warriors to a GF but by the fourth season the team imploded and seemed to be sick of being shouted at by him. Says something for Bellyache that he obviously never overdoes it in that department and keeps his guys constantly engaged.

When Maguire coached at Wigan, he put photos on the wall of injured opposition players under the heading 'roadkill'. That tells you all you need to know about the sort of human he is.
