Something was definitely not right within the team tonight.

Maguire won't last til Easter.

Fake News. GI is a living legend, the toughest and bravest player in the league. And like a real leader he gave it his all. Unlike some cowards for some teams who run for the sidelines when the going gets tough.

Regardless of how he got injured Inglis is and has always been a Centre, even Mal who would never make a decent NRL coach knows that. The more Greggy's body is forced to contort as all Fullbacks are required to do the more part time he'll become

At least Madge knew that he couldn't try and kick a field goal when before when he was out there on one leg.

Pretty stupid when you consider the McManus case has been all over the news the last couple of weeks.
Different sorts of injuries, but still could be seen as negligence.

I said the same thing to a mate last night. The court case when Inglis can no longer walk by age 40 because of how f**ked his knees are will be interesting.

This "needle him up, run it out" bullshit souths have been pulling on GI for what must be the 4th season in a row now is an utter disgrace, although completely expected given they had no qualms sending out poor old Turner every week to get his brain scrambled

Same type of coach who leaves a Clearly concussed Alex Glenn on the field for the rest of the half
How those trainers were allowed to let him get up and play on after sitting on the deck for 5 minutes has got me buggered.

He can start the action against the broncos and use mcmanus' lawyers. While GI can sue the rabble for ending his career

Maguire is the only decent thing of any worth at $ouff$, he knows what he is doing.
Its easy to get upset without knowing the full story.

Anyone I think he knows Ingli$ should have retired last year and is just proving his point

What ? Ingli$' career was over at least 12 months ago.
His work rate is just plain embarassing
People who know football know that, but all lawyers see is a guy who was clearly injured and unable to compete/run not being taken from the field.

Was Inglis hurt and played on? Gee you wouldn't know it to watch Nein and listen to the commentary..

Players play injured all the time. It's just that in this case the injury was particularly obvious and to a star player. The medical staff would have checked it and concluded he wasn't going to do any further damage to it and at half time the coach would have asked him to go back out because he obviously thought a hobbling Inglis is still better than an absent one. You could argue it wasn't the right call but I think the ranting from Gus and others was over the top. Saying things like it was sad or embarrassing is nonsense. If anything I think it would raise his reputation for toughing it out. This is the club for which John Sattler won a grand final with a broken jaw. It's actually good to see some things in the game haven't completely changed in an age of HIA and shoulder charge bans and counselling for players and so on.

He was obviously struggling and motioned to the bench during the 1st half that he was no good. His contribution was always going to be limited, and he was more a liability to the team and to himself being left out there. I know Gus can be over the top, but I think he was right. It's round one, he's inured himself. Get him off the field before he makes it worse and makes his recovery longer.
