Peter doust thought Wayne Bennett only had three years left in him in 2009

Every club after him (bar Newcastle going broke) has made the same mistake

Just give him a life time contract like the broncos did in 1988

He’s one of the greatest coaches in the games history and it’s funny is he has zero game plans or studying opposite teams

Even at his current age he gets on with generation z nrl players

tough times right now for The
but they've got some good young talent to build around. They're just a bit bit old and unathletic in the middle right now, if they can figure that out, they'll be ok

Hammer, Isaako, Herbie, Bostock, Katoa, Plath, Fini, Keeley
There is a foundation for The to build on.

They look 10000% better with Plath in the middle though so that's got to be something they do moving forward.

Agreed, there's enough talent and points in the backline but the middle is misfiring/ understrength.
Plus side is that they surely have room in the cap. They need to get active in the market and spend a few million on quality forwards.

Their fast starts to the last two seasons has masked the fact that they finished both in the bottom half of the table.

They are really just playing at their level.

5 straight losses coming up for them I can’t see the Titans losing on Saturday. Unfortunately my prediction about them for this year looks like it will be correct.

Why are people still shocked when a club turns to shit the moment Bennett leaves? It happens literally every time. There’s a reason a lot of us had them finishing in the bottom 2.

I will say the Phins are bit different in the sense that they still have a pretty good roster where Wayne usually leaves rosters in a terrible state. Something very wrong though when the players can’t play the ball properly consistently.

The finished 13th and 10th whilst being coached by Wayne. So I don't think they are really "gone to shit", they really haven't ever been that good.

Flegler has been a huge out for them and there's still no certainty he'll be back. He's taken up cap space since the start of last year and he'd be a key piece of the puzzle to solving thwir problems in the middle
