Ok what do we do with him,it's obvious his mind has been elsewhere lately & he is a waste in the centres.I know he is a professional & he'll say he will give his all but will he? & more importantly do his team mates believe him? because if they don't it will end in tears just like bennett signing early, it did have an adverse affect on our season & and imo so will this.I would'nt release him(let newcastle wait) but should his form drop(remain as it is) i would send him back to the cutters & plan for the future with someone like marketo.

I think Scott is an excellent player who has put in back-to-back bad games. Maybe it's because he has been distracted. Maybe it's because he has been playing out of position. Maybe it's just bad luck.

But the fact is he is an integral part of this side and he is a very proud person. Do you think he isn't hurting? Move him into the backrow and tell him to unleash hell. Talk of dropping him is absurd.

he has to move back to the forwards, its just a question of who will drop off, but im sure there will be ample opportunity to rotate or over injury/suspension.

The reason why Scott will more than likely stay in the centers is mainly due to the following;

* Both Cooper and Chase are very injury prone
* Green is okay but still very raw
* Overall lack of depth in that area.
* Vidot's defence

Unless Coops and Chase are fully fit, Price will not have a great deal of choice but to leave Scott right where he is.:?

I hear a few comments about Vidot's defence but is it seriously that bad?

If so then why on earth did we sign him up to a 3 year deal. He's a big mobile type with pace needed in the line up pronto, if Chase aint fully fit.

Sack the grub.

What he's done to you guys just sums up what sort of merkin he truly is.

WTF

Taken another opportunity to earn approx 100k - 150k more per year.

Would you take a job offer if a company offered you an extra 100-150k per year?

Doing the best to secure his and his families future, yeah what a merkin.

Why don't the broncs sack hodges & civo ?

Sorry to offend.......I probably just don't get it. I'm used to lot of Brisbane players staying at Brisbane for a lot less money than they could get at other clubs due to the lifestyle that Brisbane can afford

oh......

and because of loyalty.

Beau Scott is a shitbag.......

What an absolute horsshyte, petero did leave didn't he ?

Never heard of the thoroughbreds.

Maybe you should find the hansard for the Nuttell trial. During the testimony of former Broncos chairman Don Nissen at the corruption trial of former Beattie government minister Gordon Nuttall in Brisbane's District Court, he admitted that they paid players cash and had other "arrangements" outside the salary cap.

At least have the backbone or intestinal fortitude to admit your club has been cheating the cap for decades.

Scott is not a centre and hasn't had a good game in the centres for years. Even when he was selected in the centres to handle Inglis in SOO he failed miserably. Over the past two years, each time he has been put in the centre position he has stifled the attack and on occasions demonstrated a lack of speed to take care of defence. Scott is a forward and not suited to the backline these days.

It is very apparent that the team was flat this week and did not turn up in the right frame of mind. I am convinced that the Dragons are far better than what we saw last night. The attitude shown against the Bulldogs reminded me very much of the attitude shown after Bennett's announcement to go to Newcastle and shortly after Gasnier's announcement to retire. Our team is so well balanced and the attitude of the players so dependent on each member of the team working for each other that if one key player lets the team down, the whole unit caves in.

I have said before on this forum that Hornby and Young are past their used by date and although in every way they are fantastic leaders within our club and great mentors and role models, they are just not up to standard for what is required these days. Young puts in a great effort and will do more than should be asked of him to lift the team however, his knee lets him down and he can only contribute for short periods of time. Hornby has lost pace and his defence has been in-effective on most occasions these days. We need some pace and variety in the halves and if we don't do something about it soon, it will be too late.

I have also said that Prior is a liability mainly because he gives away possession at critical times through lack of concentration and his inability to hold onto the ball when hit hard in a tackle. These traits have been part of his make up for the past two years as well however, they have been more prominent over the past twelve months. Prior needs to go back to NSW Cup to work on his skills and he should be monitored closely with a view to get him up to speed or let him go at the next opportunity.

I am of the opinion that over the past two years, most players agreed to play for less money for the good of team. 'It was important to get Gasnier' to solve our right hand backline problems. 'We needed an x factor on the right'. So everyone settled for less for the good of the team. When Bennett advised he was going to Newcastle and shortly after Gasnier announced his retirement, team moral went through the floor for obvious reasons and there was no attempt at the time to pacify players with contract upgrades. Even when Moltzen decided not to join the Dragons and even though this extra money was available, there was still no upgrades to some players that believed they are worth more. The fact is that with Scott moving on to a significant pay rise, other players believe they are being paid less than they are worth and an attitude similar to the one seen in the second half of last year is raising its ugly head again.

What to do now:
Scott back to the forwards and given a talking to by Price.
King to hooker to increase speed and variety.
Hornby to the bench.
Stanley to halfback.
Cummins to fullback.
Green to right centre.
Chase Stanley to prove himself in NSW Cup.
Young to NSW Cup.
Prior to NSW Cup until he proves he solves his problems.

Team to play the Tigers next week should be:
1. Commins
2. Morris
3. Green
4. Cooper
5. Nightingale
6. Soward
7. K Stanley
8. Weyman if available
9. King
10. Merrin
11. Creagh
12. Scott
13. De Belin
14. Hornby
15. Marketo

Cummins way to green, Weyman may miss next week (fingers crossed though), You can't have your Cpt on the bench, how the hell is Rein brushed for next week ?

At least have the backbone or intestinal fortitude to admit your club has been cheating the cap for decades.

All clubs occasionally miscalculate their finances trying to fit under the ridiculously meagre salary cap the NRL impose.

Yes Brisbane have had minor breaches

..........your club has had just as many (if not more)

Get off your high horse.

Fact remains....Brisbane can hang onto most of their players for less money than other clubs can.

Cummins is a fullback and plays well at fullback. Cherry-Evans, Barber and Boyd we younger than Cummins when they were brought into first grade. We have no real choice; we need to address the problems.

Yes let us keep our fingers crossed about Weyman.

There is no rule saying you can't have your Captain on the bench. While Hornby is off the field the Vice Captain will act as Captain.

Rein is a good player but lacks the speed and variety needed to lift the team. King at hooker and Stanley in the halves will add that speed and variety. Hopefully Soward will not only give the team a good passing and kicking game, he will also begin to run into holes created by the forwards. He has the speed and step superior to any player in the side and yet we hardly ever see him make full use of all his skills.
