Wilton was ripping it up early season, as was that whole flank. Could be coincidence, but we looked a whole lot more clunky once Wade was back.

Underwhelming, but understandable from a loyalty/culture perspective. His place in the 17 has to be on merit, and by that, I mean 2023 form merit.

Gotta be happy to do the hard yards as your number 1 job at 13, otherwise the ball playing becomes too predictable. I’ve not seen anything in recent years that would suggest Wade has that in him.

Less games he plays the better. Harsh but that's the reality. Hindered Teig's progression too as he was looking decent but turned into another tolman once his minutes were halved.

I reckon he was a bit apprehensive early on knowing that one serious HIA and he was done. With Fifi and Tolman moving on I have no issue with him having one more year in a Fifi type role on what I'd assume was a greatly reduced contract. Happy to give him the send off he rightly deserves too.

I was at Leichardt for the Jets last finals game against the Dogs. Iro got mauled in defence at Centre, literally.
