The crowd was disappointing....so they said on Fox...wish we were there, jnrs game at King George Park Leichardt finishing too late, but at least his team won against Balmain Police boys....and his union team played two games yesterday and they won both ....and he got man of the match.....and wests Jersey flegg won...and wests PL won....and First grade absolutley shit on the Raiders...so in the end its all OK.

Yeah, very ordinary crowd considering we had the returns of Marshall , Payton and Covell to the line up and considering we got 11k for the broncs game and 13k to the manly it was even more dissapointing. It was a top day out there too.

I hope cambo crowds pick up, for the good of the team.

I am sure the boys dont like rocking up to a ground when not many people show up.....but fair enough, we did get flogged last week.

Onwards and upwards!
Go the mighty tigers!!!!!!!

If people won't go then more home games will be moved to other stadiums for one off shots and the like the Gold Coast is looking to host some games up here and i'm sure they would make more money if they brought one up here.

Yep dissapointing, in fairness tough its against canberra, not a team that draws very well

There will be big crowd at our next home game

v Eels @ Leichardt!

I thought there would have been more there.....I thought before the comp began, and before the raiders slide, that we were a big chance of winning this game. If it was teh Roosters or Dogs...seemingly an impossible opposition then I could understand, but against a team where a win was on the cards its a dud crowd. :(

Cambo is less than two hours from canberra if their supporters had any heart and backed the their team they could been there. The have no back bone and deserve the result. Cambo is the closest away venue for canberra but the fair weather friends they are they didn't turn up....

I didnt expect more than 10K yesterday. Canberra dont draw crowds. Last year at Leichhardt was same thing. We were coming off the Saints win and there was only 8K+ there.

Bit disapointing though. I would of thought our own supporters could make up 10K at a home game.

Why would anyone want to go see Canberra play any way. They are pathetic and boring.

that is my thinking as well gr8_1,you should be able to get 10k of your own fans to a home game, especially when we no longer have the excuse of being out of finals contention.

a sevens win,no off field dramas,a side still in contention for finals footy, the return of benji and a side very close to full strength should be able to draw more than 8k. :?

League heartland my arse. All games back to Leichhardt if you blokes cant raise enough cash out there to pay for a ticket.... What a disgrace.

With all due respect Campbelltown rarely gets good crowds. But it is a wonderful facility and a huge area. The potential is there.

Crowd was disappointing no doubt, but my son and I watched 3 wins in 3 grades.

A top day.

You're hardly in a position to criticise tigger, Leichhardt isn't exactly a fan magnet.

If it was, there wouldn't be a bloody JV.

I will wait till the end of the season to comment further on this topic, however numbers are numbers.

I actually believe that this problem is not a Magpie vs Balmain thing, but rather a lack of games at both Leichhardt and Campbelltown will only continue to reduce the support that the JV receives. Some fans will go anywhere to follow their team, however i would suggest that most Wests fans will go to more games if they are at Campbelltown or Leichhardt than if they are at Telstra stadium (x 2). The numbers at a double header are distorted by 4 teams fans, with no way of really knowing which team they have come to support. I think that even if Wests makes more money from the double headers (which i doubt based on the last turnout for the double header that was somewhere near 25-30k), they then make less money from the next couple of home games.

"Build it and they will come"!!!!
