Of course I'm refering to legal downloads.

What was the last song you downloaded? If you did more at once as I dare say most of us do feel free to list them. For me it was the new one by Wes Carr. Love Is An Animal.

"legal downloads"... Please.

This battle has already been fought and the record companies lost.

To call violation of the copyright act "piracy" is a joke of the highest order. It was always a civil matter in Australia until the internationals flexed their muscles and it was made a crime under the free trade agreement.

To show you how much outside forces run this country the one aspect of American copyright law in favour of the consumer was left out when they drew it up here.

Technology created an opportunity for record companies and now it is slowly taking it away. The music industry will always make money. The bussiness model will just have to adapt. Alot of musicans were put out of work with the invention of records and CDs. Now record compaines are moving more towards other avenues, such as: merchandising and concert sales.

In summation. f**k Micky Mouse. Trust the Americans to fall for that one then push this crap on the rest of the world.

I downloaded a DJ set by Sasha Le Monnier - a female house / prog trance /tech house DJ from the UK.

I have never bought a downloaded track - but rather I tend to download DJ sets that are freely made available by the artists or that are broadcast on radio stations. ie, they're not made available for sale anyway.

If I want music that isnt available (legally) free on line I tend to buy cd's and rip it to my i-tunes.

Are you saying that you don't like music, or that you are too tight to pay to own it?

:p
Option one.

My music collection has 2 CD both by the twelth man.

Musicians are the scum of the earth way below polis and lawyers.

I've downloaded a few songs from Roadrunner records. Always good to check out different groups and hear what's coming.

No just morally illegal.

Your purchases are now restrained to the brainwashing of Steve Jobs and his Gates-esque monopoly on Generation's X & Y.

Or in summary, they can only be played on an iPod/apple.

I just find it so much more convenient to download an entire new album for $17 as opposed to going out to JB Hi Fi and buying it for $25. But I see your point.

Um, no. You can have Itunes on a PC so you're not restricted to an apple.

You can also burn to a CD from itunes and play it any CD player.
