The team lacked organisation because Thorman didn't play. Rubbish him all you like, it won't change the fact that he is a very good footballer that hasn't been given a chance yet.

Smith was excellent in Flegg but hasn't performed well since moving up into pl. Still has potential but is at least 2 years away from the top grade - assuming he learns how to tackle. Why is it that our halves are all such poor tacklers, even young Blake Green.

Defence in pl was terrible with Mateo & Peterson being two of the worse. They ran through Webster too but at least he had a go, just too small. The same can't be said for Mateo & Peterson they just dogged it.

Parra need to put Smith back to jf so that he can regain his confidence and to give that side a chance to start winning again. The same goes for Weller Hauraki - he did have a go against the Roosters but the jf need him back.

Thanks Jess. Getting done probably means a defeat but not a nailbiter?

If I was a player there'd be three categories:
Going down in a close one
Getting done
Getting flogged, spanked, etc

Let's hope both grades pick emselves up for this weekend!

Cause Parra always name an 18th man who doesn't play any grade in case of injury rather then calling up a reggies player who had just played a full game they have a rested player ready.

Gary Larson in 2000, David Solomona in early 2001, many players in 2002 and 2003 (although often Thorman) have filled this role

Pearson had a fair go in that role too this year - named but didn't play rounds 2-6? (though maybe he was just recovering from the run in round one...)

'01 and '02 was always bubsy, cos i remember once i carried around a banner for him, and everytime we thought he would play, he'd be 18th man, and everytime i left it at home, he made it on the field......
