Have we started a game this year where the players look like they just hopped out of bed after a big night out? Hopefully this is getting addressed at training and in the sheds because bugger me it will kill us off if we don't fix it. We need to find some mongrel at KO asap.

Agree, we need to come out of the blocks quick against the Broncs next week. Don’t wanna let those merkins get on a roll.

Well, we were comfortably the best team last night for the first 10 minutes, then we had a run of poor errors and missed tackles, then we were good again in the middle for the rest of the first half, but our execution in attack (mostly SJ) was off.

Similar against the Roosters.

The half time commentary was talking about how dominated we were, but we were ahead in every statistical category, it was a few moments and poor execution costing us.

Against the Titans though we were way off in the first half.

That sporadic execution, which haunted us most of the last two years as well, will fix a bit with a more stable side. Until then, we will look ugly but hopefully tough out some wins.

If we get some rhythm in the 2nd half of the season, we have seen already in our good moments we are great.

As we were at the end of the Roosters game.

Yes, similar to our game against them last year.

One part (the part that supposedly makes us "grindy") of being a successful team is making consistent metres and tackling effectively, and we do that well even when losing.

Also like last year we are making as many line breaks as any team, but not finishing them all off. That will (hopefully) come with a stable team. There is no substitute for stability, which is why the top teams every year are usually those with stable line ups for the previous few months.
